Currently alternating between the Network test for Code Vein I was chosen for on the Ps4, and also playing Overwatch badly.
Gameplay spoilers only, No story spoilers from my no commentary playthrough.

By going to mandated training for two weeks. Got no choice and I'm just happy I'll be back before release.

Right now, to pass the time, I'm mostly playing several games on my backlog that I've yet to finish (when not at work, that is). And luckily for me, I'm going to be off work on the week of June my birthday's on.

I'm playing through the Ace Attorney series as a change of pace. I'm also getting caught up on my non-game hobbies. Before the release date, I plan to review some alchemy concepts and enemy names that we're likely to encounter.

Wow! Thanks for pointing me in that direction! I have only an interested layman's knowledge of such things, but I would like to be much more informed. That thread looks fascinating.
Edited to add: There is a wealth of information to be found in that discussion! Mythology is one of my interests, and I was always intrigued by the legendary creatures and weapons that could be found in IGA's games. However, I am less familiar with these Late Medieval and Renaissance concepts. I believe that Bloodstained will be even more enjoyable when I understand more of the references. I suppose I chose "Hermes" as my name because it reflects both of these eras, from the messenger of ancient times to the thrice-great one of the alchemists.

Got back into Final Fantasy XIV for the few weeks of waiting, finally got past the epilogues and into Heavansward proper, and picked up Stormblood so I'm having fun learning Red Mage, Samurai and Dark Knight.

Just finished playing through Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana. That was 50 hours of excellent gaming! Next I think I'll pick up Timespinner and keep dabbling in the Castlevania Anniversary Collection. That, and working, raising a family, etc.

That, and working, raising a family, etc. Timespinner is a good diversion, even if rather short-lived. It is really the closest thing to an indie igavania that's... almost ever happened. With a team, I think the guy could have made something that would have turned heads, but as it is this was enough to open wallets. Good for him.
The working bit gets harder with every day that draws closer... I've honestly not been this excited for a thing since I was a high school kid and Squaresoft (as it was then) releases were actually worth buying without question.

The gameplay of Timespinner wasn't bad, but wasn't impressive or very fun either but it had potential. Next time they need to hire someone else to do the story. Cause I ain't ever playing a game that I know had Silverstring Media involved again.

Cause I ain't ever playing a game that I know had Silverstring Media involved again. Mileage varies. I loved the hell out of it and wanted more. The story had exactly as much to do with the gameplay as any other Igavania: effectively none.
Despite this, the story in the background was surprisingly deep and definitely sparkled with a cohesion of vision. While I didn't care for the ragtag group of NPCs, I found the grander scope provided a la Dark Souls (though with far more clarity) to be something I wished had been brought more to the forefront.

Working day to day, playing other games, reading quite a bit of manga, watching some anime. The usual stuff.

Since my post a few weeks ago I’ve beaten both Gears of War 4 & Guacamelee 2, pre-ordered Final Fantasy 7 remake, and I am still waiting on that Evil Dead 2 “Sweetheart” Kickstarter to finally kickoff (later tonight they are gonna do a stream where they are gonna give people a sneak peak of the minis for the game)

I'm coming close to the 'just stare out a window and let the madness overtake me' phase of the hype train.

Just finished playing through Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana. That was 50 hours of excellent gaming! Next I think I'll pick up Timespinner and keep dabbling in the Castlevania Anniversary Collection. That, and working, raising a family, etc. Another Ys fan! I've been replaying that one on Vita to get the platinum. Timespinner's decent, but kind of short, so maybe a good one to pick up now.
Aside from working and adulting I've got waaaay too many games on the go, mostly replaying stuff like MGS3 and Dragon's Crown, doing post-game stuff like in FFXV and (trying) Dead Cells' Hard Mode. I wish I had focused on God of War when I completed the main story of FFXV, at this point I don't have time to beat GoW before I get RotN.
Something else I've been trying to do in preparation is to start excising, reading, and playing guitar more, so that if this game does become consuming at least I'll be healthy.
