 Bloodstained is going to be released in June 18 2019 (or June 25 for switch). That's less than two months away and i think now it is the time to discuss something quite important for all of us: what you will do when the game is released and if you will avoid spoilers. This is a great community and people create threads and discussions all the time, about everything. When the game is released, we can ALL BET that there will be several new threads and comments about the game's features, weapons, shards, bosses. People giving tips, people asking for tips, people sharing secrets and so on. And that's great. But we also have people that want to play this game "like the old days". At their homes, playing the game by themselves without reading anything, trying to figure out and such. So, I decided to do something myself, and i want to know what you all will do. A week or so before the game's release (around June 10 or so), i will STOP logging at this forum and will not be here for quite a while. I will stop coming here and will only come back when i finished the whole game, played a bit with all extra characters and got a good taste of all the game's modes. I don't want to be spoiled by anything (spoilers aren't just about plots, they are also about scenarios, backgrounds, soundtrack, bosses, enemies, powers, weapons and such). That's my take on it. (I will probably warn people beforehand, not that anyone cares lol). I will do that some days before tha game's release because, well, you know...Leaks, piracy and such. So, what YOU WILL DO? HOW you will play? Alone, at your home, like the good old days of gaming? Online, taking info, sharing pictures and videos in real time, talking with others and having fun together? You will come here while playing to get the lastest tips and infos? Or you will avoid like, i guess, some people do, until at least you had a great taste of the game? That's what i wanted to know.

I mentioned to my boss Bloodstained was due out soon and that once I knew the exact release date I would tell him and that is a day I'm taking off from work. Not opening my email, turning my phone off, etc. Completely disconnecting from the world and spending a solid 12+ hours with the game alone.
It's been one hell of a 4 years waiting for this.The time is nigh, have at it!

Seriously though I'm gonna try on my new shirt, I'm gonna fondle my trinkets, enjoy that factory fresh smell, look through all my lil booklets, make sure the autographs are legit, admire everything, I'll probably come on here send a thank you to ArtPlay and 505, and put the disk in my PS4, sit down and completely conquer my long awaited gift to myself, ain't no way this is going in my backlog of games till it's been platinumed and 100%. And then assuming I'm still in love with the experience, I'm gonna ask.....
When the HELL is Bloodstained 2 coming out?!

I'll be on vacation when the game releases. I'll probably go dark on internet Bloodstained info a bit before I leave on vacation. I'll be back right around the time the Switch version releases. So, I'll play it then. Completely. And then some. I like to read reviews of the games I play, but I don't like spoilers. It really ruins it for me. So I'll try not to let that happen.  |

Sadly, due to the necessity of the game's development shifting platforms, I don't know when I'll go hands-on with it. The game will likely be a display piece for a while, as I wait to see what Nintendo decides to do with their Switch. Some fairly reputable sources like Bloomberg say two new versions of the Switch will be releasing, a presumably portable-only model possibly at the end of June and a slightly upgraded model in early 2020. I'd want to see what these are and how they'd affect game performance before investing in a Switch.

As far as spoilers go, I will be careful of them till I get my hands on it, I don't really subscribe to the philosophy that people showed have to not talk about the ending of the game simply because someone might not have played it all yet, long as they are not blasting it out everywhere, I plan on getting right through this game though so after that I won't care.

What will I do? Most likely spend hundreds of hours fooling around whilst exploring and looking at details of the Castle backgrounds. Doing all of the side-quests I can, and trying to farm every single dropped material I can. And by "fooling around", in the context of Igavanias, I usually mean just wandering aimlessly around all the different areas of the Castle I've discovered just because I want to see all of the environments again. I need no other reason. Despite the fact that I backed at the $500 tier ("Architect's Secret Map")... I may have it, but that doesn't mean I'm going to find all the secrets as fast as possible. I'm going to lag behind other people playing this game for the first time just because I feel like wandering. |

I have vacation time a week after release, if I get the game on launch day I will be playing it and avoid the internet. When my vacation starts I will probably grind the game until 100% everything. After I have found everything myself I will return to the internet to see what people think.
My biggest dilemma is if I should stream or not... If I do stream it, I will be ignoring chat. My biggest fear is waiting more than 1 day after launch for my game and backer content to arrive (Being from Canada I always end up getting products late after a release).Basically I want to go into this completely blind and experience everything the game has to offer.

It's summer vacation on its release... I am going to pull up an all-nighter. Typically, I wouldn't do this, but I'm going to buy a large pizza and a liter of Pepsi and consume all of those alone while I play.

Everyone remember that Japan (and some others) will probably get access to Bloodstained abit earlier than everyone awaiting their own copies in later time zones, so when you avoid the internet for spoilers it should probably be a couple days before launch day not just the launch day.

I will be playing Bloodstained the day I get it, I just hope the digital game code is mailed to us so I don't have to wait on the the physical stuff to arrive before I get to play it. When you live in the arctic things take time to arrive.
