Besides the several game modes, playable characters, weapons, items, crafting, quests, optional areas, and secrets; What do you think is the best way to prolong the game’s duration? I think a second castle/location or several (optional and not optional) locations/mini-dungeons a la PoR and OoE will help to achieve that. So, what do you think?
Note: Galleon Minerva and Arvantville are confirmed outside castle areas, so it’s possible that we get more of these locations in the final game.

Not gonna lie, the idea of an Inverted Galleon Minerva and Arvantville amuses me greatly, even if Igarashi's rule against bottomless pits would make them unlikely.
With that being said, this being "IGA's Biggest Castle" + all those extra game modes, I'm not currently worried about there not being enough content.

I just want to be surprised by innovation. I also hope that there are large secret areas so well hidden, that they could take years to find. I love mysteries.
I hope this game will always contain undiscovered secrets, because once a secret is discovered, it loses it's magic and just becomes information.

I still love my "Reflected Castle" idea. I think it would be innovative to find out that the "true" Castle within Hell is actually what's reflected in the large lake surrounding Gebel's Castle. On the outside, the castle would look almost the same, but it ideally would feature bizarrely different areas than what Gebel's Castle offers. The main difference would be the background/atmosphere; it would have a hazy "underwater" feel to the "sky" seen in some areas, and any environment seen outside of the castle would look like a hellscape. If there is a way to access different rooms by using a "mirror" ability (like literally entering a large "Shard" growth and then phasing out of another one), then this Reflected Castle should be where Miriam gets to take full advantage of that ability. I'd also like to hear a reorchestration of this theme from Curse of the Moon in at least one area of this "2nd castle".

An idea that popped into my head on seeing this thread is going into the past. Actually get to see the events that happened when the alchemists unleashed their demons. Fight your way through the epicentre of that calamity to the central stronghold and try to undo the events that led up to everything. Maybe the final boss could even be Alfred.

I'd heavily be in favor of an inverted outdoors area. The thought of falling into the sky is just so unsettling to me

allooutrick Someone made an "inverted" screenshot edit of the Village area, from over a year ago. Falling into the sky has been the most frequent subject of my nightmares. I agree; it is most disturbingly surreal.
