The alchemical remain of substances are, albeit drained of essence, still physical(and can be obliterated). Unless of course if alchemy can create unexcitable substance that still has electrical propety to allow chemical bound. Something you can touch but can never see even with full spectrum vision. Though if you truly extract everthing, should the leftover be perfectly black or transparent? Either way the very idea of making use of remains falls under necromancy.

I think there are definitely records of such substance that is complete invisible yet touchable. Perhaps some ancient text of greek origin.
