Character Portraits When Characters Talk

The developers knows about this and the game is still under development. I suggest you take other things into account, as the game is being developed. Once the thread of feedback is started, I urge everyone to read through all the posts.

With any luck, the first post will be updated by 505 games, so it keeps track on "same issue" that people might have with the demo (and beta, unfinished project of Bloodstained).

Also, if you guys are going to continue to take this feature up on topic, please try out the Japanese voices too, and see if the same "issue" occurs. It might be, or not.

I found the demo's facial animations awkward, too. They clearly need more work done on them if the developers are going to stick with 3D models & lip-movement during dialogue.

However, I'm not against it. They don't need to completely replace them with character portraits; just improve upon what we've seen in the demo.

We've got several months to go, and the demo is now planned to be released in 3 days, so I'll be sure to make my feedback count.

Personally, it was Miriam's model that bothered me, and not because of the lipsyinching, but because she has lips at all,so to speak.

Specifically, the shadow on her lower lip makes them stand out in a bad way. It doesn't look so bad on the guys, but on female character models, because they have finer features, it'll stand out like a sore thumb.

But yes, hand-drawn portraits would be nice...
