Same, would rather be surprised. Demo gameplay and commentary could prove to influence a decision, which would allow one to overthink/overhype or plain out dissuade themselves of their honest opinions from a fresh hands on.

I've already seen some problems that I want to address later when the demo is released and gets a proper thread. That's a very fair point of view. I think the team itself will look forward to feedback to those who see the gameplay, and not just the backers who get to play the demo. It's important to consider more than one PoV.

I agree, but some users use the "Recent" feature to see all posts rather than click on threads. Self-control is also a problem. Ideally it wouldn't be an issue, but I want everyone to have the best chance to experience things how they choose XombieMike should this be spoiler tagged or not?

That's a lot of screen tearing and it's really noticeable to the point where's it's very distracting.

No need for spoiler tags as nothing can be seen or read without direct interaction of playing the video. The thread title is descriptive as well as the video title. Screen tearing was certainly an issue, but it's far from the only complaint I have.
I will refrain from voicing my opinions for now.

Some problems I have with this demo so far. (I'll keep them in spoilers) Screen tearing The speed of Morte spawns is pretty slow, it bothers me that they can be dealt even before they spawn at all Some textures/effects looks a bit strange for me... The lip syncing is pretty poor. It looks bad. The whole game looks a bit cheap, but I wasn't expecting a looker since they've announced it to be 2.5D. It definitely looks better than the last demo. The voice acting is great. Specially the surprise one...

I have several things to say about this. Most of them great, some of them not so great.
Since people want to avoid spoilers, i'm going to restrict my comment to non-spoiley stuff for now. The video stops at Galleon Minerva Boss.
1) The voice acting is suberb. Is REALLY, REALLY good. I'm quite impressed by all the voices, including screamings and grunts. Also, Miriam is badass.
2) The graphics are overall gorgeous. I can't understand how someone looks at this and says it's "ugly". Different tastes, i guess. It is a HUGE improvement over 2016 DEMO and some level of improvement over 2017 DEMO. I don't think it is possible to be refined more than this so, people who still think graphics are ugly will not change their opinion.
3) There is, indeed, a lot of screen tearing, so much it's quite jarring.
4) The first cutscene has some hiccups on animation that is a bit off. The last cutscene is also a bit weird on it's animation. They need to improve that.
5) One particular Shard has changed it's animation and overall power and it is much better and more useful now that it was before. I like it.
6) There is one enemy whose name completely changed. I don't know why, but i wonder if the name will go to a new enemy.
7) Itens are still inside chests and bags. I think people who wanted to see itens outside chests must give up their hope. You can see the item when you pick it up, but they are all inside chests or bags dropped from enemies.
8) The save room is GORGEOUS. It's aesthetically impressive and really beautiful. And the way you save, although simple, is cute.
9) The game's difficulty seems to have been increased a bit. Specially Vepar as a boss. It seems she is much stronger than it was before. Also, just as a tease. The video shows what type of Shard vepar gives and it's name, but we can't see it in action.
10) Still no Effective Shard to be seem.
11) Lip syncing is indeed bad. I don't believe they will improve it, to be honest, but yeah...it's not very good.
That's it for now. Anything else would be too spoiley, i guess.

Yeah, when I asked in the shoutbox about the spoiler tag, wasn't trying to be an ass, was actually asking since I know many would think that this thread counts as spoiler. Apologies if it was taken wrong. As for the comment I had on here, earlier, was responding to freddythemonkey. Didn't quote him as I'm off and on, today, since I've been goofing with the kids, so time for extra clicks and the like aren't exactly something I've paid attention to. Just because I, personally, will wait for the demo to be available, did not mean anyone else had to follow suit, nor that they shouldn't discuss the flaws that still need work. That being said, I stick by what I stated, I'd rather not be influenced in any form, so I can draw a neutral conclusion as to what needs work. Not my first rodeo on beta tests/breaking games/finding as many flaws as possible. I helped with the original Medal of Honor, before it was even announced, as well as the Shadowgate remake. I'm also awaiting entry into 3 more closed betas and have been in touch with those devs. Basically, I have my own, personal routine and that wasn't meant to repel anyone from this thread or the video.

Some already mentioned it, but I have some complaints: - Screen tearing, A LOT, so much it was jarring watching the gameplay. Maybe they forgot to activate V-Sync, or some other adaptive sync solution? Certainly it should not be an issue when playing the game on PC because one could use Enhanced Sync (for AMD owners) or Fast Sync (for NVIDIA owners) on driver settings, but on console that is unacceptable. - Lip sync is bad, specially for Miriam. Also, her mouth animations are kind of comical for how bad they are, lol. If they don't have time to improve them, I think they should just drop it altogether. No animations are better than bad ones.
Complaints aside, gameplay-wise it seems solid, just as I was expecting. I noticed some graphical improvements, with more detailed textures on the boat and background filled with details. Overall, I'm cautiously optimistic about the game, it's not perfect but what is?

Not a fan of those dialogue animations. I think it would be better if they used 2D portraits for those instead of tweaking the models, I don't think we can expect any substantial improvement there if they don't. But maybe I'm wrong. I think the cutscenes themselves also feel a bit stiff. Miriam's animations feel particularly awkward during the dialogue and cutscenes. Johannes looks a bit better, and Gebel actually looks pretty decent. That whole save room is amazing though. I think it would benefit from them going a little bit crazier on the special effects as Miriam is getting up from the couch, but it already looks great as-is. The voice acting is pretty damn good, every character sounds pretty great. Miriam's battle cries are a bit too frequent for my taste, I feel that's going to get a little annoying for a game that I'm going to be playing for hundreds of hours. Maybe I'll get used to it, but it feels a bit much. Screen tearing is definitely an issue. Now, I'm perfectly capable of eliminating it through Nvidia Control Panel, but console players would seriously suffer if they don't fix it. Not gonna delve too deeply into criticisms right now, this is a work in progress after all.
The meat of the gameplay does look pretty good though, I'm glad.

Screen tearing....I have Curse of the Moon on Switch, PS4, and Steam. There is a significant amount of screen tearing in the Steam version, but zero tearing in the PS4 version. Maybe it will be the same with Ritual of the Night? I hope not. Screen tearing is something that should be worked out before release. Just delay the game if they need more time to fix the screen tearing.
I get the feeling that they weren't trying to have the characters' lips sync up with the words. Their lips moving is just an animation to show that they are talking. It doesn't bother me, but I can see how it would bother others. Maybe just show their portrait with no movement/animation when the characters talk (like in SotN).
The entire Vepar fight is awesome now! I love the visual upgrades and the difficulty increase. The new version of Vepar is sooo much better than the original one, IMO. Overall the game is looking great! Can't wait to play it!

Completely agree with you, and there is no reason to have ultra high quality models, triple A series like Persona 5 have amazing narrative with only decent models via using 2D portraits when a dialog occurs. From all the artwork I have seen Bloodstained could very well implement that. If a direct feedback thread is allowed this is a very valid option to solve this issue and I have seen a multitude of people supporting this idea in reddit and youtube.
