Why this game isn't available in my country?

Found out it was banned from the Mid East entirely because of crosses.

Well congratulations to us and thanks religious fanatics.

Where did you find this out? It doesn't sound quite right to me. I'm drawing a blank even thinking of a cross in the game.

Let us know if you find a source we can use for this info

I asked some people apparently it got banned from the day it got announced that includes Ritual of the Night and the reasoning is that there are crosses in the game, also some people who backed the game are worried that they won't be getting their collector edition .

Yeah man I honestly don't know what the thought process is, all I know that the game is banned just like God of War, Drawn to death and many other games.

I looked up some info on wiki witch you may or may not already know but here it is...



"The Royal Decree On Press and Publications (1982) set up the initial government regulation of Saudi books, newspapers and magazines, as well as all foreign publications sold in the kingdom. In addition to obtaining government permission, the Saudi citizen creating and distributing the content, had to ensure that it did not cause sectarian tension among citizens, or insult the royal family or Islamic values.

In 1992 the "Basic Law of Governance" was enacted as an informal Constitution. Article 39 of the kingdom's "Basic Law of Governance" states that

Mass media and all other vehicles of expression shall employ civil and polite language, contribute towards the education of the nation and strengthen unity. It is prohibited to commit acts leading to disorder and division, affecting the security of the state and its public relations, or undermining human dignity and rights. Details shall be specified in the Law.[3]

The Ministry of Interior has "responsibility for all the Saudi media and other channels of information".[4] The ministry has been called the "main agent of censorship" in the kingdom.[4] It is charged with the `purification` of culture prior to it being permitted circulation to the public. A special unit, the Management of Publications department, "analyzes all publications and issues directives to newspapers and magazines" stating that way in which a given topic must be treated.[4]

According to the Encyclopedia of Censorship

There is no precensorship of publications but if any material goes against a directive, or more generally qualifies as `impure`, the department will check it and notify the minister of information, who decides in what way and to what extent the publication and its employees are to be punished. The main effect of this system has been to impose on journalists rigorous self-censorship."



I'm sure a similar process is in place for video games, basically without freedom of the press they can say anything goes against the good of the nation/people and if no one gets exposed to it then no one can say there wrong either, I sincerely hope you find a way legal or not to play and enjoy the game best of luck.

Well Bloodless is naked in her bathtub and covered only in a dress made of blood and there are "I think" succubus in the game scantily clad, I know that sex is a big flag for these censorship organizations and the enemies are demons and other religious references from other cultures and the main Bloodstained game will have more magic and demons and Vepars boobs and what not mayhaps its a proactive decision? Also because the series is so heavily linked to Castlevania witch does have alot of religious references and crosses that could have something to do with it too maybe the government thought they were the same series or close enough to being so?

Censorship sucks.

Bloodless may be one of the reasons for the supposed ban. 505 Games need to do something about this, because this ban, if it goes through, will hurt the game financially, as it's not just Saudi Arabia; but most of the nearby Arab countries will also issue a ban. That is what happened with God of War and Dissidia Final Fantasy NT recently.

Question, as a community manager, you need to do something about this. Please let 505 Games know that Bloodstained is being banned here.
A censored version of the game may solve the issue (that's what Witcher 3 did), so please consider it!
Anything is better than the game being banned here and suffering financially and popularly.

Nope I would prefer not releasing over a censored version anyday.
I would have to get it from the US store if either of those happened.
