Waifu4Life True but also on Nintendo's website the game shows up for Switch but not 3DS. Just seems like they don't have their ducks in a row at all for 3DS.

Hey guys, this doesn't mean that the console game codes are delayed. It only means Fangamer just doesn't have them yet (and today is still pre-release), but they did have those Steam ones to send immediately so everyone has some kind of access by midnight PST at the latest. The only known delay is still just 3DS in Europe and Xbox One. Dude, that's like saying "I'm not late, I just didn't get here on time". I understand what you're saying here, but to be clear again, today is release day, and there's no reason to believe yet that the codes excepting the EU 3DS and Xbox One codes will be arriving after today.

I understand what you're saying here, but to be clear again, today is release day, and there's no reason to believe yet that the codes excepting the EU 3DS and Xbox One codes will be arriving after today. But they said themselves on in the Kickstarter update that they don't have the keys and that they will release them as they get them.

Some were playing the game via retail and no backers had codes yet. Release timing for every specific console is still mostly an unknown, yes, but Inti has made clear that the only sure delays are the ones I mentioned. They want people to be happy, so they acted as fast as they could with the sure strategy of satisfying as many people as possible as quickly as possible.

As I stated before, a Steam version is pointless since you can't transfer your progress.

Yeah, I get you, but that's all they could do at this point, and was better objectively I think than giving people nothing. It's also only about a 2 hour game, so progress shouldn't be much of an issue.

Regardless of Ben saying something like that before, it's true, they gave you a something when they didn't have and couldn't yet have what you ordered, beyond their control of the situation. Game again should still be arriving as stated and planned for all we know.

Game again should still be arriving as stated and planned for all we know. True enough. The trouble is avoiding calling attention to the false equivalency people are focusing on right now. Not sure how it could have been phrased to avoid it, though. S'why my studies tended towards the sciences rather than the linguistic arts. Honestly, I'm kinda happy about this, especially if people just flat-out don't care to use their temp codes. If they let others use them, they effectively become limited-use demos. You could conceivably play the entire game in the available time and, if you like it enough, buy it after your free time expires or buy something new from the same developers, not to mention get your appetite whetted for Ritual of the Night itself. I fully agree things could have gone a lot better, though. Heck, I'm dealing with a bit of "waiting too long" syndrome with a convention I'm attending in a little over a month.

For what it's worth the game turned out very good. Feels and plays even better than I thought it would. I shouldn't be surprised though considering Inti was behind the awesome Megaman Zero series. I'd gladly pay $9.99 for the game normally.
It definitely still sucks that I'll have to wait till next month to get my Xbox code. No getting around that. But the game itself is excellent and that's what matters most. Having a game of this quality a week or two late on my preferred platform is much better than having a bad game right on time.
