I hope they're not going to wait until the 24th in North America to start sending out the codes, not fair that non-backers get buy and play first. We should be able to get our codes, use them and have the download on our waiting list.

If the hours til release on the Steam page is accurate it's looking like they're using Pacific Time for the release which would have been good if they had clarified it better. I'm guessing the actual codes will be arriving some time after that. Definitely not catching it today here as I'm ugly enough even when I do get my beauty sleep.

Early access was never promised nor even suggested, am just glad the games coming out, hopefully with no more SNAFU's. It's just another day. Not talking about early access, but more about delays in code sending. If they start sending out the codes on the 24th let's say afternoon eastern time, then we have to wait while others can just buy and download. Even online retailers will ship a day or 2 before release date so that people who pre-ordered will most likely get it on launch day. Also, getting the codes early doesn't mean that we get the game early. If the game is not available on PSN, then it's not available on PSN, but we can still use the code and prepare everything so that we can download it as soon as it's available. |

Just saw on reddit that it's available for purchase in Japan on the Switch store. I'm a little bummed that backers don't get first dibs but at least it's coming out sooner than any of us expected.

Waifu4LifeI don't think the codes are generated by say Sony until the game is up, so far as I understand it thats just the way it works. I do agree that it's an annoyance though.

I don't mind it so much for this spin-off game; however, I will be pretty upset if they handle the main game (RotN) the same way. What about people who spent literally thousands of dollars backing the game? It would suck if they had to wait to play the game we have all been waiting years for while non-backers get to play the game at 12:01 midnight on release day.

Steam store says game will appear in roughly 9 hours from now. At least in my locale. Probably, they will send the codes in 8 hours from now, or something...
Although, i am so going to get rid of my own, in one way or another... Hoping to trade it for a GOG game, or something. I backed this project up, solely to get a DRM-Free version. I would never take anything from somebody, who rejects DRM-Free release; not even as a gift. Not only i don't support such practices, but i usually boycott them. I hope my backing money ends up inside Iga and 505 games' pockets alone, because only them had the decency to offer their game annoyances/hindrances/intrusiveness-Free.

Tomorrow I can play Castlevania on the Switch ♥ You failed at seeing the point child, the issue is NOT about waiting, I wouldn't care if it came out in 6 months. What I care is that fact that WE made this happen and WE might have to wait a while others who did NOT contribute in the Kickstarter are getting the game first. The priority should be the Kickstarter backers, but right now, it seems that they care more about making their sells on the first day than showing appreciation for the people who help make this happen. I may be wrong and this could change in the next few hours, but right now, sure looks like this is what's happening. |
