Official Forums

I can't say it enough, this place is literally nothing without all of you. A forum is not it's administration staff, but it's community as a whole. Thank you to all members and staff both former and current.

I can't wait for that fresh coat of paint the update mentioned.

If by chance ads return it is only temporary as they are based on page views, and Shaun Edwards has been paying ProBoards to remove them. We will no longer have to worry about that.

I will update the FAQs, welcome, etc. unless the real official staff beat me to it. So far their interactions here have been limited, but all that is going to change. This is what I expect:

There will be a dedicated bi-lingual community manager that has IGA’s ear.

Inti/Fangamer will do graphics.

The J-Play guys or Inti will take over administration duties.

We won't have to pay for ad removal anymore.

The main goal of forums is to have a direct voice to the development team.

Moderators will be chosen from the community to handle the increased posting.

As for myself and Metafaniel, it is very possible we will just become regular moderators. I would like to retain the ability to improve the site and respond to your feedback, but I lay all that in the hands of the official staff. Iga said some people have referred to him not only as the "Japanese Dracula" but also as "Japanese Jesus". I guess because he is so humble and sports that great beard (and he's god-like!). So "Japanese Jesus" take the wheel!

These expectations come from my understanding of Ben Judd's communications with us in private.
