Well, turns out many backers able to play the game before its actual advertised launch day, so that's good. Console codes will be rolling out soon as well. It's been quuuuite the effort on all parties involved, especially Fangamer, and Inti giving this temporary 6/8 measure for console-only backers.

Finished stage 2, game is just what I was expecting, pretty good so far. They really got right the feel of the old games, although I found it somewhat easy, though I'm just at the beginning. Also, here's some footage I recorded of the first stage, case there's someone wondering:

Ciel lol, You do the same thing I do in that game (and CV3). I tend to repeatedly press Down while waiting on a Boss to finish its attack (or while it's dying). Zangetsu: "Welp, while I wait on this guy's next attack, how 'bout I get a workout in?"

Hmmm... you know, I hadn't thought until I read that comment that I never finished a stage as Gebel, so I don't know what his victory pose is :'v but yeah, Miriam's and Zangetsu's are my faves in that order  |

The game (playing on Steam until my 3DS code is distributed) is fantastic. Its a polished Castlevania 3 with midair stair jumping like SCIV and Rondo also with Rondo's boss desperation attacks. The visuals are great, the ost is wonderful and catchy and while its not a spine-snapper like the OG NES games, I have died several times, especially since I picked Veteran so little flying buggers can knock me to my doom. That's the PROPER Classicvania experience!
Though I admit some of he things are so close that I'm amazed Konami didnt cause a stink such as (SPOILERS) the portrait on the Minerva that OHKO's you if it touches you being ripped right out of Rondo(END SPOILERS). The character swapping is fast, clean and feels good especially since it allows for neat tech like casting Alfred's flame orbs and quickly swapping to someone else as the orbs stick around. All 4 characters feel fun to play and are different. I can't wait to beat the game and go through it with everyone from the start so I can really explore all the stuff I missed.

In regards to the current status of Console codes: We (Fangamer) are currently waiting to receive the Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon Console game codes from Inti Creates and ArtPlay, and we will add your codes to your backer survey once we have them in hand. We currently don't have a specific time-frame available, but Console codes will likely be added to your survey before June 8th.
In the meantime, if you are able to use Steam on a Windows computer, your backer survey should contain a temporary Steam code that expires on June 8th, which can allow you to play Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon while you're waiting. You can access this temporary Steam code, as well as your permanent Console codes once they become available through your backer survey by clicking the "Download Codes" link. If you need help finding your backer survey, please visit igavania.com/survey_support
