Hello fellow Bloodstained, IGA and Castlevania fans!

I've been a relatively inactive member of this forum for quite some time but have diligently followed all KS updates since backing in June of 2015. In honor of the release date approaching, I thought it was high time I introduced myself as I intend to become more active here and perhaps also Discord.

I watched the live stream of the SXSW event last week and my excitement for this game is higher than ever! I loved all the new reveals and cannot wait to get my hands on this game. Speaking of hands on, I ordered the lapel pin through Sanshee and it arrived yesterday. I'm very satisfied with it's quality not to mention it comes with a locking clasp! I backed at a tier that includes the pin but, knowing it was available, couldn't wait any longer (being an enamel pin collector).

So a little about myself. I'm Justin and live in Chicago. I've used Hellmont loosely as a moniker since playing lvl 11 on Harmony of Despair (I love that little skeleton whip!). I've been a CV fan since I can remember. In 1987 at the age of 5 I got my first ever NES game and it was Castlevania. I've played all the 2D "sidescroller" CV's (except original Gameboy) and love them all. The only 3D one I've played was for 64 and I didn't care for it. Favorite is SOTN, followed by the DS titles, then its a tie between Rondo and SuperCV. I also really like Chronicles! Embarrassingly, I just played through Bloodlines for the first time (via emulation). Amazingly good game. Also, my favorite playable character has to be Maria Renard (Rondo version). I love playing though PoR in 'Richiter' mode just to play as Maria

Of all the games, I probably logged the most hours on Harmony of Despair, simply because of the online co-op. I really enjoyed maxing out all the different characters and collecting the vast number of items/souls/spells available. I'm looking forward to hopefully a similar co-op system in Bloodstained.

Anyway, happy to be a member of this community. What all is everyone currently playing to satisfy their IGA fixes until release?

Hello! My name is Alex and I've been a long time Castlevania fan ever since I played the original on my grandma's NES. As super young as I was, I could never get past stage 2, but I loved the game and it's excellent aesthetic. I've been an IGA-vania fan since I happened upon Dawn of Sorrow. I've since gone through and played all the Iga titles, and my personal favorite is Portrait of Ruin.

I was a really late Slacker Backer, but I've been super excited since day one! Not much else to say, so thank you for reading!

Also, that is a nice signature gif you have there. The "Wrecking Ball" is my favorite Hunter Skill for Jonathan in PoR.

I couldn't tell you why she had it or when she got it. The only game I ever remember her playing with me was Anticipation, which was a board game styled game. She did have a variety of other great games though. I remember playing Metroid, Zelda 2, and Paperboy there for the first time back when I was about 5.



Says the guy with one of the funniest gifs I have ever seen in his signature. Wrecking Ball was my favorite in PoR as well as Harmony of Despair. I loved how ridiculous it was as well as him yelling "Showtime!" everytime it was used.

Greetings!  My name is Black Wolf and, while I have known of Koji Igarashi and the Castlevania series for a very long time, I've never actually had the chance to play a single one.  I was first alerted to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night by a Youtuber, and I've been excited for this game since then.  Now I'm hoping I can spread the cheer by playing this series for others if possible.  I personally can't wait to see people speedrun both Curse of the Moon and Ritual of the Night.

Hello everyone! I'm GeheimnisGoth AKA Hexxy! I signed up a while back but due to moving shortly before, I haven't been very active so this is my first actual post now. I've been playing the Castlevania series since I was like, 9 or 10 years old, started with the PS2 games and quickly branched out afterwards to play every single other one in the series, and I've migrated thus into the Bloodstained fandom. With Castlevania I've been into it for almost 16 years now? So I'm a pretty longtime fan.

I've studied linguistics as my thing, and can speak French, German, Arabic, and Japanese! And English I guess. I mostly enjoy playing video games (especially retro or more indie titles), watching anime, reading manga! I mostly work but those are my go-to bits of fun.

Hello everyone. I'm most certanly not the biggest Castlevania player in here as I played just a few of them, but I have very fond memories of me playing Symphony of the Night on the PS1 as a kid wandering in the castle and listening to the amazing soundtrack (my favourite track is Wood Carving Partita). I followed the Kickstarter campaign from the start but I decided to become a backer very late (at the end of April), having been convinced by the Kickstarter updates.
After I became a backer on Fangamer and lurked the Discord channel for a bit I decided to register here hoping to help in bug hunting in the upcoming demo. I hope I'll be of some help

my first iga/metroidvania experience came via a friend and some "import" games I was borrowed a long time ago, really psyched for the release, and find myself concerned over the current heat wave that's meant to be happening over Japan, hope the devs and the rest of the team are safe and staying cool
