Hello everyone. Been following the project since it launched and was lurking the forums for a while, and I decided I wanted to be a part of the community. I still haven't backed the Kickstarter - currency reasons... the economy of my country has gone down the drain in the last year, and suddenly even 28 USD became too much for a game - so I don't think I'll be giving my opinions on how the game is progressing for now, but I still hope to have a good time talking with you guys about Igavania games  |

Hello there, I'm Quintalian.
I'm an IGAvania fan and a Kickstarter backer. The prospect of a new gothic exploration action game was too enticing to let slip by, and I was elated to see such a show of support ensuring that IGA's next project would in fact come to fruition.
As a long-time fan of IGAvanias and other similar games, believe you me, I sure do have opinions on what I'd like to see in Bloodstained, and I'm interested in what other fans are looking forward to as well. Hope to have some spirited, good-natured and inspiring discussion with you on the forum!
(Oh -- I suppose this is relevant, too. My avatar is based on a character from a Castlevania-homage fan project that wasn't completed. I use it for everything, but it's even more fitting here!)

I go by Foffy elsewhere on the internets, primarily NeoGAF, where I was part of the pre-reveal Bloodstained hype train. Suffice to say, pre-Lords of Shadow and the Collapse of Konami™, Castlevania used to be my all-time favorite series. I've since moved on to FromSoftware's dark fantasy games, so I hope Bloodstained rekindles what I liked about Castlevania and what I've liked about From's games: a dark fantasy game where exploration, atmosphere, and difficulty are embraced in the experience.
Outside of games, I indulge my time in studying and inquiring on the mind, primarily states and concepts such as nondualism and not-self, which I've only grown more interested after venturing into vocations like nursing and hospice care. I found one suffers more from the mind and from thought than any actual, tangible phenomena, so I figure to use my time there. I could probably ramble and bombard this place with that jazz, as I do on GAF, but I'll keep it to myself for now.
