I'm pretty good today actually. After having some troubles with a kidney stone, today has been a day without pain so far. So I'm hoping this keeps up and I'm awaiting it getting removed. No way! I have one right now too, since last Saturday. If I don't have it passed by 7/5, I'll have a procedure to remove it. Not sure which would be better, lol. I hope your situation continues to improve as well. My first day was pretty rough.

My day well I had family who lives a good distance away over so we went out to eat at a buffet. However the second half of the day which involved removing the remains of a downed tree in my yard was much less fun especially given how hot it was outside today. After working a good deal I spent the evening relaxing in the air condition and catching up on my TV shows. I've been trying to play Mighty no. 9 but can't really get into it so I wound up net browsing. I am a combination of bored and tired but can't seem to really get to sleep, part of me wants to drink but I would regret it as I have work tomorrow morning. So here I sit browsing youtube and checking forum posts.

On my way to work today, I drove by one of the nastiest accidents I've ever seen. There were two pickups at an intersection, and both were totalled. One had its side mangled almost beyond recognition, and the other had its front end all mashed in. And the police were there taking photos and stuff. Based on the damage, I have a pretty good idea of what likely happened. Keep in mind that I cross this intersection every time I go to work. If I were scheduled to work just 15 or 30 minutes earlier... *shudder*

My last week was kinda busy and hectic. But I did manage to get my hands on a "Link to the Past" comic that was originally published in Nintendo Power, a collection of "Sam and Max" comics, and a copy of Ann Nocenti's Longshot series, which I heard about on an X-Men podcast XombieMike recommended to me. My weekend plans changed really fast today. I got my hands on a weekend pass to RTX from someone who was planning to attend, but couldn't at the last minute. Hooray! I didn't get to do much today since I got my badge an hour before the convention center closed. I stopped by the expo hall, got some free stuff, Lloyd Kaufman was there(!) and I got to meet him, got some cool cosplay photos, walked to where a panel I want to see tomorrow will happen so I could know where to find it, ran into a friend I met at another event, and hung out with him until everyone had to leave since he wasn't going to be there the rest of the weekend. I also saw this creepy weirdo in a green jacket hanging out with a bunch of young girls cosplaying in school uniforms for some reason. He seems like the type of guy who would have a weird name like "Jared" and a really long and hard to spell last name, spend years doing a daily gaming news show for ScrewAttack or some other site, and then go off and do his own thing on youtube. Stranger danger! If anyone here is going to RTX and feels like saying hi, I'm going to wear a Mario Kart 8 shirt on Saturday. Not sure if I'll be attending Sunday.

Uneventful day... I tried setting off a few fireworks a bit ago but burnt my hand on a bottle rocket. Now I am just enjoying my manly wine coolers and some health food.

lol, so I heard some fireworks going off outside, walked out and found them right in my complex's tennis court. Watched my neighbors do those for a bit in my bedroom shoes. Kept hearing more fireworks...so I walked around the complex looking for them, but didn't see any. Circled back to my apartment and went in. Still more going off, still loud enough to be near me. For some reason, I felt like I had to see them haha, so I turn off my PS4 and put my shoes on. At this point I'm thinking they're in the park. I walk through the ENTIRE park, which is woods and dark trails and planks over a pond, no one else around, and don't see anything. I then exit the other side of the park, walk halfway to work following the noises - nothing. I then came back. Oh well, at least I got to see my neighbors' haha...but now I still hear some

I had an OK day today. I went to the lake with some girlfriends, and then I went home and immediately hopped onto the forum. Then later today, I went and got some pizza, (mushroom, cause I'm a cucumber cool vegetarian :p) then I came back, checked my bank account, saw I had a modest sum in it, and bought Castlevania: Circle of the Moon for my Wii U VC. So I now have all the GBA titles on my GBA, AND on my Wii U. I gots IGAvania fever, baby. :p

I had a really good day!
I have a job interview tomorrow to become a CNA at the local Care Center, though I've heard that it's very mentally taxing.
Wish me luck! :/

Probably wondering why I've been gone for so long? I got hired for several awesome jobs with an awesome boss.
I am now a book editor for multiple books of the author's and I'm starting on my voicework...ahh, so taxing. I can't wait to record. I need to practice my talking a lot more...reading for several audiobooks is gonna be tough business...but I'm gonna be a voiceactor!! Finally!! I feel like I've struck gold or something.
But at the same time, I stressed myself out to the point of having health problems. I just needed more sleep though, everything cleared up even though I'm going to the doctor's office later. I'll explain everything to them.
Also I may or may not have been into the Vampire Hunter D fandom...totally have, I backed the Kickstarter and watched Bloodlust and I'm hooked, help me!!

I could've posted this earlier, but I'll just say now that today (8/6/2016), it's the 30th Anniversary of the Metroid series! Still, we could use another new Metroid game besides Federation Force (which is, admittedly, a decent game in my opinion). In other words, I felt awesome today!

I was initially confused, not upset, at Federation Force. And I ultimately feel that FF's problem was just bad timing.
This is the first Metroid game since Other M, a game that was very negatively received, due in large part to how Samus was characterized. Then the franchise fell silent for years, and when it comes back, we're all hoping for a game that will wash the taste of Other M out of our mouth. And we get... chibi Federation Soldiers? And Samus isn't the main character?
Had something like this come out between, say, Prime 2 and Prime 3, the reaction probably wouldn't have been nearly as bad. I grant it's not the game I would have wanted for Metroid's return. I still want a game that brings back the six hunters from Metroid Prime: Hunters. I thought all six of them had potential. Especially Sylux and Trace.
Anyway, yesterday I stopped using my old LGA340 phone and upgraded to an iPhone 5. (It was a hand-me-down from a family member.) So now I'm busy experimenting with apps, such as Miitomo and Pokémon Go.

The past two weeks and for the next week I have both kids instead of just the one. It's great. Loving every moment. I've also been playing Super Metroid for the first time ever. I bought Wolfenstein New Order for future play, and I've started playing Faeria.
In a week you should see me back to my normal posting regularly.

Well, I've been away for a while. But I am back now. All sorts of retail-related shenanigans happened! -Inventory week -Tax-free weekend -Back-to-school weekend -Getting called in to work on multiple days off because everyone else said "no" and I said "yes" so I could be a team player, workplace professional, and get more money. -Wasting 30 minutes helping a manager do personal shopping they weren't supposed to be doing on the job when I thought I was helping them do actual work -A customer decided to leave a "Hamilton Hello" with their baby and placed it under a shelf. If you do not know what a "Hamilton Hello" is, listen to the Super Best Friendcast episode with the same name to find out. -I reported a furry wearing a fursuit and their friend, both of which I noticed were hanging around small children and approaching other customers instead of shopping, as a security concern. Instead of taking the report seriously, a manager and someone on the security team replied with "do your job and hug the guy in the dog costume!". I thought they were joking. They were not. I approached the furry because I wanted to be a good, flexible employee, but they grabbed and tucked me in a position where I couldn't see anything. I knew- and physically felt- something was wrong; I couldn't tell if he was trying to grope me or if his partner was trying to pickpocket me while I was distracted. Fortunately, my pockets were empty because I actually followed instructions and put my phone and wallet in my locker before my shift began. The most disappointing part of it all was how after the store closed, every other employee was talking about how "the guy in the dog costume was a really good hugger," and didn't notice anything wrong or suspicious. I have no idea what was up with that and I'm disappointed with how the management responded to/ignored the incident. And in other news, here are some fun things I've done. -I got to see one of my favorite cheesy movies, Dune, in a theater with live commentary from Sean Young (who played Chani) and some local comedians. Everything about that was great. Sean Young was hilarious, sweet, and she reminded me of Linda from "Bob's Burgers". -I got to see Trace Beaulieu and Frank Conniff from Mystery Science Theater 3000 perform live! Four times! Over two different nights! Each with a different movie to riff over! I brought some friends I hadn't hung out with in a while along to the only show I was able to buy multiple tickets for, and it ended up being the funniest of the shows they had. We all had a great time and got to meet Trace and Frank afterward. -Taking a trip to San Antonio with some old friends in order to rectify how we don't meet up with each other enough -I got into Pokemon Go. While the hype has died down, I really enjoy it as a social activity; I met all sorts of cool people and made new friends, went on a Pokemon Go bar crawl, came across a bookstore where a teenage author was doing her first book signing, and I discovered a comic shop that had a really cool bathroom covered with art and messages from guests the store had! -I also took advantage of a "secret sale" the previously mentioned comic shop had after closing hours earlier this week and picked up some graphic novels/comic trade paperbacks I've been meaning to pick up: Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol volume 1, Doom 2099, Batman: The Cult, and Grant Morrison and Mark Millar's run on The Flash. -Made a long-overdue purchase of "The Spectacular Spider-Man" complete series, Tom King's "Omega Men" complete series... which was damaged on arrival, and what will probably be the last "new" physical game I'll buy, "Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel". I'm a big Borderlands fan, but I still need to get around to playing/beating that game and its expansion.

I beat Strider (2014) a day ago, and it was awesome. Being a big fan of metroidvania genre, I wishlisted this game almost immediately after getting a Steam account. I've heard that people were having problems with repeated crashes, frame-rate drops and some confusing level design, but on my playthrough of Strider I didn't notice any of that stuff, well, maybe some FPS drops, but I can't call game a bad one just because of that. It was refreshing, yet familiar experience. I haven't played a whole lot of previous Strider games, but in this one I felt right at home. Graphics were stunning, ambient sounds and music that played occasionally were giving me right feel at the right time - there was some perfect sound both for action and for atmosphere. Controls were solid, if a little too complicated, but once I got used to them, everything became just right. Kazakh City was decently big and really fun to explore with rich variety of zones, though, some areas like Underground were a bitch to get to. I was aiming to collect every collectible besides large green containers (they're nothing but a health refill item anyway) and this led to some frustration, because some of the little Strider icons, which give you costumes, were really challenging to collect. Other than those, I loved collecting all the items, but I missed a few optional icons with concept art, which isn't a big deal. The core gameplay of Strider was fun and addictive, I spent hours just running around, killing bad guys in style and jumping on the rooftops like madman. Bosses were memorable and very challenging, except for Gravitrons (I was seriously just sitting in one spot and throwing exploding kunai at them until they broke). Final stage was epic and fight with Grandmaster Meio felt like complete joke after such a hard stage. Still, I enjoyed it and the victory was pretty sweet. The game was constantly throwing new stuff, enemies and objectives at me, helping to learn new tactics and kept me entertained until the very end. My knowledge of Russian language brought a smile to my face a few times, tho. Nobody in their right mind is ever going to name a freaking tank "Sovkhoz", lol. I feel like Bloodstained will blow my mind once it gets released, since it's going to be even bigger and even better!

Taking today to calm down, as my weekend was very upsetting for me. Had a breakdown yesterday.
It's also hard to calm down as my cat may be dying, so this is quite a series of events...
