Your Day

Well, I had 24/48 hours of boring adult stuff.

-Got my car inspected and updated my vehicle registration
-Paid the bills
-Did my taxes
-Filled out more forms
-Returned some library books
-Took advantage of early voting in my state's Presidential primary election

I plan on washing the bad taste all of those adult responsibilities out of my mouth by seeing my favorite comedy troupe do a rehearsal/preview for their next show tonight.

I feel like I'm the world's worst nightmare for being an anime avatar weirdo who can do chores, function normally in society, and is registered to vote.

Oh. I was just joking about how people with anime avatars are often viewed as creepy/weird on social networks.


Haircuts are good. They usually have me feeling handsome and professional afterwards. Waiting from November to February is a long time to get one.

was looking at gaming news on the Vita, because I really want to make the Vita worth it
and a newsletter from a gaming sites sends me a news on Gundam Breaker 3
and it was announced that they are releasing the Asia English Version
and I immediately went to pre-order the game, like a second after I see the news

I had a good time there. Only issues were...I feel like I may have been kind of a bother to Inti Creates. They haven't said anything about the cake/pics I tagged. When I gave it to them, plates/forks and all, they said "woah, we can't do this right now", but I just wanted them to take it and have it for later. Matt was nice after the picture though when I thanked him for everything, including the podcast he did. I'm just hoping I haven't overwhelmed them lol ._.

There was some drama in my room, too. Two of the guys staying with me had some issues over a girl. Someone else, our driver, had his computer and TV stolen while he was gone. Worst part for that is that the people on the receiving end of these things were trying to enjoy their first year at MAGfest =/ Both had a good time regardless, I think. I also had to bother my brother in his hotel room a couple of times to sleep some of the people staying with me...I had a 1-bed room (booked through a third party, didn't know what I was getting) and couldn't upgrade to 2 queens when I got there, and he was alone in his room with 2 beds. I didn't want the people with me to be disappointed for what they were sharing the cost for, so I (quite late) asked my brother if they could go stay with him, once following the awkward drama occasion.

I also wanted more than just that one pic of me in that costume, and I wore it all day. Oh well. Too bad Powerglove wasn't back, too...

But...all of that more negative stuff out of the way, it was fun! I did hit some concerts, got some cool stuff, saw a lot of great art, played some good matches with my friends for the first time in SF5...I should have played more in the arcade, though!

My day:

I'm working on a song right now. I'm writing it for a female singer, unfortunately due to me writing it for a female voice my voice doesn't really pull it off well. I kinda need her to get the idea of what I want it to sound like.

That's a real accomplishment. Beating current games doesn't carry anywhere near the same weight as a game like that.

Oh, and to expound on my thoughts on my earlier post...I think more than anything, things were hectic for Inti and they had to get things wrapped up and do a lot of traveling. I haven't seen much from them period since then.

A bunch of boring stuff happened today, but I stopped by my favorite ramen restaurant for dinner and got some vegetable ramen. It tasted really good.



Then I watched the mid-season premiere of Gotham and the new episode of Better Call Saul. I also started looking at parts/guides for the gaming PC I want to build. My entertainment budget is at the point where I can safely say to myself "yeah, I can set aside this much for a PC and have this much left over for other small fun things."

I got my tax refund.

I have been told that getting a refund is supposed to be a bad thing because it really means the United States federal government took too much money from me. Instead of going into Ron Swanson mode and hating anything to do with the government, I decided the better lesson to take away from Parks and Rec was to "treat yo self!". So I went to the comic shop where I got the coupon from a few weeks ago and used some of the refund to buy the most expensive item from my list of comics/graphic novels I want to own.

Thank you, local comic shop and federal government. Because of you, I now own a hardcover ALIAS omnibus.
