Animated Miriam in the Menu

The cutesy continues in a big way, it seems. Im happy for those that like it.

Yeah the more personality worries me a bit. I myself enjoy the more stoic approach. Alucard, and even Shanoa come to mind. It fits the mood better to me. Doesn't mean there can't be funny moments but a toned down personality helps. I just don't want a Jonathan approach.

I am not a fan of this kawaii stuff at all.
I've said it in other threads before that I wanted Miriam to be a badass character but it looks like we're not getting that.

It seems like 80% of this board likes cutesy stuff in their games so ofcourse I know I'm in the minority here and that Artplay won't change it =)

Only expression so far is her jumping in joy about food. I would do the same, even if I were covered in the blood of my enemies.

But hey... Even though this is the only expression we have ever seen her, the cuteness, so to speak, makes up 100% of her personality thus far! Think about that for a second.

I believe, the footage of Vepar needed more work before they showed it for us (even though I were pleased with it anyways), and I won't spoil anything if I am correct, but trust me when I say. She will have all kinds of expressions.

Cute was something to make her feel human. Anger, rage and revengence is the other side of that same coin. Hold on

I am more about her turning all glowing red, and snap her fingers to make thousands of enemies become an ocean of corpses, I am morbid like that. But I also feel that some cute stuff is needed so everyone is pleased (I guess those thousand corpses won't happend, but.. overall, after a game playthrough, it should be very well over a thousand, right?)

yeah but theres a fine line between stoic being 'cool' and stoic being emotionless (see other m,  japans 'cool' is our emotionless), i actually like the yatta pose, as it gets refined itll probably look even better

also gotta remember she missed out on 10 years of growing up, whats wrong with being excited once in a while? >P

I like her cooking animation and hope she continues to be expressive and "cutesy". If I wanted to play as Shanoa I'd replay OoE again. Let Miriam be her own character.

I just like the video game-y-ness of it. Nah it's not per se realistic but that's what I like about it

Busterific I do not think you slay a bunch of demons every day, and that "little thing" like cooking isn't as much as a treat for you. Imagine the small joy Miriam actually has, after been in coma, looked death into the eyes plenty of times, soaked in blood while frenzy cutting of limb after limb on her foes, this while being chased and have a freake'n curse spreading all across your body.

Being happy about food, is a way of life. Just like goofball.

I am so happy about Miriam being so expressive.
I hope we get a pouting expression, if people are allowed to mix outside of recipes, full with the japanese "mou~", upon failing.

She ends being in the totally huggable tier!
