blackoak aka shmuplations provided us with absolutely the best Bloodstained article translation when the Kickstarter was new. There's so much great info in that article I consider it required reading. That's why it's the only sticky in the External Articles section here on the forum. Recently, they also translated a great interview that includes Yamane about Bloodlines. In it there is a reveal that Vampire Hunter D's work was an influence for the director. Check it out!

That's so nice to read! A shame that the original interview is short, as Bloodlines is one of my favorites retro Castlevanias.

Bloodlines is my favorite classic. Its probably the most action packed Castlevania. Might be short, but it is damn sweet. And that soundtrack is perfect.
Anyhow , I'm glad there was an interview with the devs about that game. Its interesting to hear their 'insight' about developing the game for the Genesis/Megadrive.
