SO I plan on backing this for PC because I am building myself one, one that is going to be excessively overpowered, and I don't know what version I want but I'm leaning towards PC. I also am considering the switch version because of portability. So I was wondering two things, 1 what version do you think I should get, and 2 if I get one version and get the other will I be able to get the backer content on that.

I'd get the switch just because of the portability. If you want both just drop another $28 and get it for both. You'll only get the backer content if you pay $60 so if you want both with backer content you're gonna have to either get the alchemists treasure for $125 that also comes with goodies or pay $60 twice. I'd just pay the extra $5 for the stuff (plus shipping)

Thing is I don't know if the game will even be good, while I hope it will be I don't know personally I think that the tiers are a bit overpriced. I recently got the Axiom Verge Megaverse Edition, a more metroid style metroidvania on my Switch for $40. That came with A double-sided poster(one side being art the other being the game's map) a documentary disc, all the games music, and the artbook. That would be the $150 dollar tier for Bloodstained.

Tried the demo? Its good. And its getting better. Artbook won't be for sale elsewhere, if not on eBay from THESE tiers. Take that into consideration. If it will rock, you might be kicking yourself. If it's not what you expected, you could sell the stuff maybe, or give to a friend (for PC - pick GoG version if you might wanna sell it). But its really a personal thing, and I feel that $60 is enough if you just want the experience, which is the best low-tier.

As far as value, I love what Tom Happ does and Axiom Verge is great, but that's a much different animal. He did all of that content on his own, a more true indie in every sense of the word, whereas Bloodstained has several high tier professionals contributing to something that's quite near what a high profile Castlevania game would be. Axiom is also an 8/16-bit hybrid game that's much different in scope of work done and things that need doing. An enormous project like Bloodstained has not just one developer, but multiple teams of developers and contractors. It's huge.
An authentic, good taco and a steak dinner are both delicious, but they cost different things for different reasons. I hope that analogy works, it's early lol
Anyway, thinking about your specific situation and your posts here, I would suggest something like this:
A) Get PC alone at 60 B) Get PC and Switch full backer content at 125 C) Instead, PC at 60 and add non-backer content Switch at +28
Here's why I think C would be a good idea: you can play on PC as your main game experience. On the Switch, on the go, you obviously won't be playing the same save file anyway, so instead you can use that to play all of the other modes (and there's a bunch of them), and for those extra modes, I don't think the backer content is even applicable. Ergo, $28 is fine in that instance and you save the money, since you'll be getting that stuff within the PC version anyway.
That all IS if you decide that you want it enough/think it will be a good game, yes. My opinion would be yeah it will be lol, but I may be somewhat biased.
