However, while still un-named, we did see "Un-Deux-Trois" (the kicking technique) and the katana-dash (the Dull Blade's special move) in the Beta Backer Demo.

Do you believe those should count, too?

Pure Miriam Well, if you really don't feel like making it separate in the Numbers Comparison section for Bloodstained right now, just add 2 to the total for Bloodstained's "Powers (Shards & Techniques)" for now.

That is my only suggestion (for now). Where it says "35" (34 + the 1 technique you included), just change it to "37" so it counts the Un-Deux-Trois and Katana Dash techniques.

Otherwise, I'd say you're right to wait for the final game before you update it again.

Yeah, me too. Folks always want to party up for a new game on a chat or whatever on PS4 and I just don't get it.

I keep forgetting that we can level up weapons in a fashion in this to power up their combos. I imagine racking in an area on certain enemies to get shards while building up a weapon (or, y'know, all of 'em) will expand the play time.

It's gonna be epic.

Thread updated again with last update. Again "semi-necroing" this thread. But i must say, it is quite impressive. With what we seen of the game so far (what, maybe 10%?) We already have a lot of things.

There are some specific numbers i wanted to call attention to, that impressed me, considering how little we saw of the game as of now and considering i don't think this thread will be updated much more before the game's release.

WEAPONS

Bloodstained already have 50 WEAPONS revealed, including some really impressive ones, such as (not-named yet) The Sword of Light (Vajra look-a-like), The Green Fast Sword (Valmanway / Crissaegrim look-a-like) 8 different kinds of ammo, etc.

SHARDS and POWERS

38 Shards and powers. Some of them have a unknown status, like Con Boost, Shard of Buer from 2016 Demo. Buer became a Familiar, so, Con Boost is a mystery. If it still exists or who enemy might have it. Absolutely no Effective Shard was revealed yet, and i believe it will stay that way until the game's release.

LOCATIONS

We, more or less, know already 10 locations. As a comparison, Aria of Sorrow had 13. How huge Bloodstained will be?

Anyways, if anyone is interested, delve deep into the numbers comparison. Lots of interesting data there.

I am coming to a frame of mind where I don't think this is merely a taste of nostalgia with the usual lip-service of being THE BEST AND BIGGEST EVAR (age has inflicted me with cynicism), but it will actually be a satisfying experience that will go quite far beyond its oft-cited inspiration (SotN) and perhaps even eclipse the nostalgia for those of us who got to go into SotN blind the first time around.

Nevermind the location size, it would seem with the shard and equipment crafting that they are maximizing reasons to spend more time in each area of what is implied to be the largest game of its kind yet.

Pure Miriam I know you said you're probably not going to update your list again until the game is released, but I feel like mentioning some new additions.

The name of the blue Effective Shards has been changed to "Manipulative" Shards, and the name of the yellow Enchant Shards has been changed to "Passive" Shards.

From today's Update #80 (as of the time of this reply), we've seen seven new Shards as shown in the short video.

(Color represents what type of Shard they are)

Gale Crawler
Va Ischa - "Fires a sharp sliver of ice toward enemies."
Craftwork - "Grab on to certain objects and manipulate them." (We technically haven't seen this ability in use yet, but it's the first Effective/Manipulative Shard ability that's been revealed to us.)
Heretical Grinder
Petra Ray - "Fire a beam in the designated direction that petrifies enemies."
Augment INT - "Increases your INT."
Dagger Expertise
