Hi. I've been writing fictional stories of sorts for my personal viewing since before I was a teenager, which for me is a long time ago.
I write primarily as a hobbyist, though I've recently sent to an editor a book I've placed a lot of effort into.
Does anyone else here enjoy writing stories, both original and fan fiction?

I love to write, but only in my native language I can't share them with you guys sadly. I tend to write freely (or non-linearly?), like there's a scene that I want to write, I'll just write that scene, and then try to connect with other scene (if there's any). So... yeah I'm pretty lame at organizing the whole story or coming up with a complete plot lol. Still it's a good way to represent my mind and I'm pretty proud of my creation

I do enjoy creating a bit of fiction. My favorite is taking things that already work and expanding on them. When I DM a role playing game like Dungeons and Dragons, I enjoy not only customizing it to my liking, but leaving it all up to how the players actions move the story.

I can think of stories, but for now, I have no skill on putting them on paper. Be it written or by drawing (which I'm also not skilled at).

It's a struggle for me to do both too, but if I can do it... For me, it is about writing novels I always wanted to read, and I like to combine aspects of various genres.

Writing and fantasizing about stories has always been one of my strong points, I started writing a Castlevania inspired book a couple of years ago which I've had to postpone for now but am currently writing love/life novel inspired by a girl that honestly would be in my best interest to forget looking at this objectively but alas I'll just do what I do.

It's always great to hear about different expressions of creativity. I guess the series of novels I'm working on would be considered science fantasy. It kind of plays off of the idea that The God manifests in and resides in multiple forms at once. One main form is the God of Compassion and Love, who is all embracing and within everything. The other main form is the God of Anger, The Lord of Brilliant Light and Darkness, who is based on Lucifer, Satan, and the Zoroastrian God of light Mithra and the Zoroastrian God of Destruction, Ahriman/Angra Mainyu. His motivations are not entirely selfish, though, and can be loving, especially for his human form's deceased son. He looks like a beautiful angel with white fur like robes, fourteen wings, a white frock coat, all white clothes, and white hair that kind of looks styled like a SSJ3, and can manifest his angelic form (the wings). In his more human form, he is known as Lord Neraos Ahrihaman (and as Marreious Ravendove the philanthropist), the Antichrist par excellence (the main religion of the series is a combination of Christianity, Zoroastrianism, panentheism, pantheism, Hinduism, Judaism, and Buddhism, among others). Neraos is over ten feet tall in his human form. The series is set far into the future where magic and advanced technology coexist, and where people are 13+ Dimensional beings without realizing it. Most people in the series can fly and can have multi-dimensional universal powers but tend to cancel each other out, so they must find other ways to outperform an opponent. The main character of the main series is Thrastara Navarra (see my avatar picture of the guy with the big hair. Hair is like that because everyone's hair is prehensile and gravity is not a major factor in many scenarios ). He and many others, including some of his brothers, are Eschaton Potentials, possible manifestations of Neraos. However, Thrastara is not the first choice, or Eschaton. He and everyone else contain archangelic presences within them. Thrastara would meet an Exorcist Doctor named Johnas Moorekase, who can help Thrastara with his Daeva Serpentine infestations, and is akin to a high level avatar or manifestation of the God of Compassion (though not the highest level). For millennia, he has been a thorn at Neraos's side. As an Exorcist Doctor, Johnas is over fourteen feet tall and is fully clothed in black and white clothing, has a huge, white beard, and black vests he wears for Exorcisms, and extracts demons by placing his hands on a patient's head and lifting them up via telekinesis. I hope I didn't bore anyone with the more outlandish ideas and concepts. I already have these ideas on paper in the form of a manuscript, which is why I don't mind sharing. Sorry for the somewhat stilted writing, as I've been typing this on my phone.

Writing stories is an activity I've been increasingly interested in since the turn of the millennium. Nearly all of them have been short ones (consisting of a few thousand words). Longer stories (novels) are much more intricate and require a deeper level of thought and inventiveness to squeeze out more. Strong character development, greater plot and an interesting script are just three important keys to creating a fine story to prevent it from going stale. Imagination is the backbone of it all.
At the moment, I'm trying to juggle two fantasy novels whilst creating a bestiary of unique monsters for my ever-growing art portfolio. I have to admit, it is rather brain-draining when the rigors of daily life get in the way. Sometimes, I feel that one lifetime isn't enough for all the things I want to achieve (one of the reasons why I believe in reincarnation).

I like to write, but in the form of scripts.
They go from campy, light and kid-safe, while the rest are based on my own life and are sometimes very emotionally tense.

Yes, definitely. A lot of the stories I write are fan-fiction based around properties I'm very familiar with, but beyond that, I've been working on my own verse as well, gradually building characters and the world therein. It's been fun~

I actually used to write, a hell of a lot. I've written things such as songs, poems, short stories, scripts, home-brewed tabletop games, game dialogue, and journal entries. I don't write stuff anymore and I was never really good at writing, but I enjoy the story-telling. Unfortunately I could never stay seated long enough to finish a good story if I had tried, but this is why I draw instead.
I still do some bit of backstory writing for my tabletop group, but that's about it. Maybe when I have more time available I'll write some more.

I've been writing more and more ever since I got into roleplaying. It feels great actually, even thought I slip into rewrite madness from time to time.
