It makes me wonder about if Bloodstained makes a sequel should it be KickStarted or 100% dependant on publishers who have their proven interest and the money made from the first game's post release sales, but that is a total derailment from an off topic thread to an on topic one that I don't see any point in starting just yet.

As long as Iga keeps his creative rights it doesn't really matter, does it?
On the topic of this, I don't see why anyone would dedicate a forum to RA considering its uncertain future and small fanbase.
Just take this forum as an example (in its fan forum days), tens of thousands of backers and only a few hundred members. How do you think a RA fan forum would fare?

I say, even with a hand full of fans or people who just want this project to succeed... a forum would be a good idea (a free forum, mind you). forum definition: a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged
it has nothing to do with amount of people... it would be a collection of people who want RED ASH to become a reality. and about the fan base, I really don't think it's so small, I personally think it just had a lot going against it, like:1) people still hurt from bad mighty no.9 Kick Starter
2) wrong timing... too many good KS campaigns before it showed up (and july is the worst possible KS season)
3) Keiji Inafune got a big ego from last KS success (he needs to know it was his fans that made the KS successful not him) I think Comcept (and Inafune) can learn from this KS. If they wait until Mighty No. 9 comes out. then redo a RED ASH KS from there it would be successful... imo |

I know what a forum is, I just drew a comparison between the two Kickstarters and noted that if the RA forum would get the same forum joining rate, it'd be a minuscule number (around 15 people) and as such would be too small of a community for a rich discussion.

I know what you meant, I'm just saying a discussion between 3 people or 100 people is still a discussion. I do agree forum would not be as rich as I would not like, but like minded people can still have a good conversation. Oh, and sorry for sounding like a jerk earlier ^^; I didn't mean for it to sound like that. I still think people could have a good conversation with a small amount of people... good, not rich. |

Or they just outright dismiss everything? they will still get there rewards... but they wont if the KS is not funded. with the Chinese publishers they are most likely fans (or at least some one in there is one). don't get caught up in the negative PR about the campaign. anyone can see it was done extremely bad, Keiji Inafune had an inflated ego and thought he could do anything cause of his success with mighty no. 9. I think his ego has deflated since then... but that doesn't change the fact that fans still want the game... bad PR, rumors, egos... everyone is focusing on these things and not the fact that this has a potential to be an awesome game. |
