Dude YA!!! I saw some news about that on www.facebook.com/vhdtheseriesBut I'm at work so I can't really go watching videos and stuff. But I'll ask the same question here as I did there. So are they just going to do graphic novel remakes of the Mangas and use CGI to make the art? Or are they talking about actually turning the Mangas into movies??? Or is this something completely new??? |

Amano's art style has defined the look of that series. I'm sure it always will, but he can't be expected to animate. Let's hope he is involved as much as possible. |

Amano just did character designs, like he does on most things he's involved with. I'm not even sure if he had anything to do with Bloodlust directly, since he's mostly credited with character design for VHD in general. The actual animation in Bloodlust followed a style more reminiscent of Ninja Scroll, which isn't that surprising since they were done by the same studio. Basically, expect Vampire Hunter CG to have as much in common with Bloodlust as Bloodlust does to its predecessor. Characters will have the same basic design because of Amano, but will be interpreted differently due to a different studio being used in its production. I'm not sure how I feel about this to be honest. I don't have anything against CG animation in general, but I don't really feel that VHD is a great fit. I'll have to see some footage to judge whether its for me or not. |

I just finished it. Can't believe I hadn't seen it before, it was beyond expectations. The art, characterization, pacing and story was very well done. Also has many parallel feelings to CV. Thanks for the suggestion! It's also nice to know other protagonists that use single letter nicknames haha. Hopefully there's more I can watch. Definitely looking forward to the new series. |
