These are neat little things and I like the terms you guys have come up with, but my piece would just be careful to not put too much weight into post quantity. Maybe more incentives for "likes" and such? I don't think posting a lot should be a goal in itself, or some kind of competition with others, but everyone trying to give meaningful, quality input? Yeah. Hmm... like a reputation counter. I bet I could figure that out. I agree with this, and also see an opportunity to potentially use the item system as a reward! Likes, quotes and the such are perfect things to incentivize quality contribution =) |

I imagine if you're a "spell binder", you're already past the purpose of Alchemy. I think it fits. As for architect and guardian we'll just have to think in context. and Then why are we changing them now? It's not like we will achieved 2000 posts on a single account tomorrow Ask SML. And why does it matter how many posts you need? Is that what matters most? Of course not. You should be focusing on the content of your posts, rather than the number of posts you've made. Yes, higher numbers "looks" nice on your profile, but people need to grow out of that phase. and What do you think about this? New Blood - Gold Bat - 0 posts Loyal Familiar - Red Bat - 100 posts Master Alchemist - Purple Bat - 500 posts Spell Binder - Silver Bat - 1000 posts  - Black Bat - 1500 posts Castle Architect - White Bat - 2000 posts I'm not saying this is what it's going to change to, but your input is needed, let's get creative! Seems like people are digging this. Thomas had a good point about what order the rank names should come in. Mike we don't need a reputation counter. Quantity of posts is good for changing your rank.. Some people say that 2000 posts for Eternal Guardian is too much but we have been doing this for less than 2 months and some people are about to hit 500 posts. Hell I even seeing us upping the rank post count and adding titles down the line. The game is a LONG way off and I expect us to be here for quite a fun while.  Here are the rank details: New Blood - Gold Bat - 0 posts Loyal Familiar - Red Bat - 100 posts Master Alchemist - Purple Bat - 500 posts Spell Binder - Silver Bat - 1000 posts Castle Architect - Black Bat - 1500 posts Eternal Guardian - White Bat - 2000 posts We have been asked about the bats, I love the bats to no end. Maybe I should just create a different bat for each rank and group? |
