International Women's day - Women in your life

Big +1 on mom. My mother was a great woman. I felt compelled to speak at her funeral and will always be glad I did, she was so much to so many people. She also cooked me many a cheesy pasta dish...

This day is all about the celebration/furtherance of women's rights, of course, and here's to hoping we can continue to make good steps internationally...and sustain/improve what we have locally.

And, to hope that women can forgive us when we men make well-meaning mistakes when we say/do certain things intending to help lol.

I'd like to take the time to thank all the female teachers and professors I've had in my life. They were good at their jobs and encouraged me to learn. I also came from a sheltered/over-protective background and they introduced me to ideas and concepts I wouldn't have thought about otherwise. There's one teacher I'm particularly grateful for, have kept in contact with her, and my life has been better for it.

I am also happy and thankful for my sister, who is getting married later this month.

I am also happy and thankful for my other sister, who was an invincible Diddy Kong Racing champion growing up and remains undefeated to this day. The only reason the rest of the gaming world has not faced her wrath or seen her showing off at events like AGDQ and SGDQ is because she'd rather be a mom, and she is a cool mom.
