I am thinking about starting a website dedicated to Bloodstained (unofficial or official). Dunno if people want that or if there are any need of it? You people are the right ones to ask about this.We already have this awesome forum, and reddit have their eye-hurting-blue theme too. A (what seems to be a cool) podcast. Kickstarter site, a bunch of articles, youtube videos. So I wonder, would you guys support an english Bloodstained website? RSS-feed, small polls. Links to articles, artwork, podcasts, video dev updates and more. Maybe "the best out of Bloodstained forums", and a way to actually get you guys involved in brainstorming, theories and such. Since this is an impulsive thought, I could also mention I already have a newssite dedicated to Overwatch, and before that Diablo III. Two IP's from Blizzard Entertainment. Brainstorm, let me know.. What would you do differently. Would you like to see a website about this game, and the expansion / follow-up on the series? Since there isn't much to talk about, the site would be a slow-starter I guess. Any advice or thoughts are welcome. If you dislike, make your voice heard! I would appreciate it. Thanks |

I wouldn't be opposed to a Bloodstained site with a layout akin to some the game wikis (FextraLife Souls games wikis, Monster Hunter Wiki) or like the Castlevania Dungeon. I particularly like how you can select from games in the series, characters, music, weapons, storyline, etc from the left of the main page for navigation. Sometimes I just want game information and media and not forum discussion.
I vote for a Bloodstained Wiki page where you can find the latest information about the game, all current media (screenshots, music, artwork, gameplay vids), links to this forum, the official kickstarter, and other Bloodstained goodness. It should be a place/site you can hit for all Bloodstained information. Wiki is good so that fans can edit stuff to help stay up-to-date with the latest and greatest.

It's eventually going to happen. Ben said that a certain domain name had been worked out, so it's one step closer. There is already a fan wiki out there, but it's riddled with ads. Rest assured, (wiki not included) an official website is coming and it will include these forums.
As for a wiki. I've been exploring options for a wiki ran by the fan base and moderated for accuracy, but it doesn't come without either ads or costs (just like this forum). Oh, and linking accounts from here to the wiki is only possible with more expense and possibly a dangerous amount of work.
Here's a thought, what would you think of adding a page to the forum (except a wiki) that would satisfy the needs you speak of? I can add custom pages here. See the IGAverse as an example.
If you own a server that can handle the load and has the dependability, talk to me privately about some things I'd like to test.
If you want to start a new community for Bloodstained fans, I would be excited to see what could be done with WikiTiki software.

I might just offer my help here instead. Be it a newswriter, making up stories, theories and such. Not as an admin, but maybe a writer. I am actually not a fan to forums, maybe I have been on too many with too little access to actual speak on behalf of the fans, or communication failure towards the developers. Reddit is scary place for some gamers, this is why forums in that sense are great. Brainstorming. When it comes to a wikipedia, I have very low know-how about this. I did help out Diablofans wikipedia at one point, but it was very advanced and too much coding. If you guys need extra help HERE, let me know. And I will watch this thread closely to see what the people want. |
