If Ben Judd and IGA both watch that video...I wonder if they'll consider hiring both Jennifer Hale and Laura Bailey to do some voice-work? I'm not a fan of getting Laura Bailey in on this project. I'd rather the role go to lesser known actors. It leaves less room for expectation, and helps keep the stagnation of her voice from being in every media. People can generally only hit three different spectrum with their voice pitch, and Laura isn't any different. I truly feel that she's not exactly a good fit for the role, comparing her other performances. Her voice is too high. Someone more like Mary Elizabeth McGlynn would be a better call, I think. Her tone fits the demeanor of the character, and the atmosphere of the game. Just listening to her voice samples makes me think she's a good fit. Besides, she's got previous experience as Medusa in the Castlevania franchise. www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Mary-Elizabeth-McGlynn/I've heard of her too, yes.  (Especially since she's also the voice of Motoko Kusanagi in the Ghost in the Shell anime) Honestly, at this point, if Laura Bailey does voice a character in this game...I'd rather she voice either one of the background characters, OR as one of the female Bosses in the game. I think she needs a more villainous role this time around, but just as a relatively-minor villain. I'd still like to hear Sara Kestelman voice another character too, even if that character isn't nearly as enigmatic as Kreia, a Star Wars character and one of her best performances (in my opinion). |

Slain looks fun here is a trailer for it So this guy runs around with an unsheathed flaming sword on his shoulder? You'd think a guy like that could kill all those enemies just by looking at them. |

Never heard about this game until now, I like how it features a lot of different death animations depending on the situation. They have a planned release date for it?

I've heard Slain has less than favorable controls...at least it LOOKS good. But to the point--- I follow this guy on Youtube. He's really cool! I think I've run into him on Facebook as well! Anyway... Seems like Laura Bailey is not as favorable a pick as I thought she was for a Miriam voice role. I find her to be the more suitable choice out of the many due to her role in a Metal Gear game, and sharing the sound company that is doing this game.To be blunt and honest though, there are not that many new female voice actresses that would have a range that would fit the "mysterious youth" role that have not been overused. I'm an aspiring amateur voice actress myself, but due to money constraints I am unable to record much of anything, and I do not have my own studio. I think this is most of the problem when it comes to young and upcoming voice actors as a whole...also, I have NEVER had a debut role in anything due to location (very remote, not near any studios). I have gotten many positive comments from voice actors/actresses themselves though about being charismatic, perfectly embodying cool and cute, so I am hopeful someday I will get a role. But sorry if I couldn't pull through for something like Bloodstained.  |

I am still adamant that Miriam's VO should be Heidi Hudson Leick, the voice actor from Primal, who was also Calypso from Xena warrior Princess. She represents a strong, yet sexy, type of character, and she did a pretty damn good job in Primal. Supposedly she retired, and invested in some kind of Yoga gig, but still shows up at conventions. also Primal was an underappreciated game for its time and received a digital remaster on PS4 if you want to go and play it. l.  |
