How to roll dice

It was requested that we add a dice rolling plug in. I hope you enjoy it. Here's how to use it. Feel free to spam this thread, but please edit you post instead of making multiple rolls in different posts unless there is a good reason to do so.



Use the dice button to roll, or also roll by typing the "roll" tags in quick reply will work though. The roll tag, which is [ roll 1d6] (without the space) by default will roll one six sided die. You can customize how many dice you are rolling, how many sides those dice have, and give a modifier like a plus two or minus one. So, lets say I want to roll one twenty sided die. I would either use the dice button and replace the text with 1d20 or just type [ roll=1d20]. Here is what the roll will look like:

Ok, great. Now lets roll two of them. This is [ roll=2d20]

Alright, now lets add a modifier. This is [ roll=2d20+8]

2d20+8

If the fan fiction section actually gets a lot of posts for forum RPGs we could make a dedicated forum RPG section so that other fan fiction will not get buried. For now there isn't a lot of posts. So let's say I'm in a RP thread in the Fan Fiction board and I want to roll a d20 to see if I hit a monster and add my strength bonus of 2 to help that number. Then I want to swing my long sword for 1d6 damage and add my strength bonus of 2 to that as well. I don't know if I'm going to hit yet, but I will roll damage anyway just in case I do so that people don't have to wait for more replies.

Here's my d20 roll. I don't know it, but the DM knows I need a 13 to hit the monster.

Did I hit it? If so this next roll will be useful. The monster only has 3 health points left before I slay it. Let's see how it goes.
