Nintendo Switch Hype Train: Rumors and Such...

I'm afraid I'll have to ask you guys to convert the timezones yourself. The presentation made me stay up later then I should, and I really need to get to bed asap.

I can't wait for him to bash the heads of his minions in using a car door, just like the Marvel Kingpin.

My thoughts:

-Out of all the games that were presented, Super Mario: Odyssey impressed me the most. I like how the new worlds look and all the new platforming/traversial options. Seeing Mario in a realistic city reminded me of "Mario is Missing", a cancelled CD-i Mario game, and the live-action movie. I was in disbelief thinking "I can't believe Nintendo stooped to the level of questionable 90's Mario ideas," but it still looks fun in its own merit.

-Fire Emblem: Warriors is one of those things I never knew I wanted and I hope it ends up being good. I have a feeling it'll mostly draw from the 3DS games since they're the most popular, but I hope there's a good chunk of playable characters from the GBA games since they were the ones that first came to the USA (and the only ones I've actually played).

-Octopath Traveler had me going "...Why isn't there already an indie game with this exact same art style already out there?". It looks great, and that game is on my radar.

-While I think BOTW looks good, the new footage didn't really impress me since I've seen plenty of it already. I felt the launch release date reveal was obvious since all the other big "core" games are coming out after the Switch's launch and it was teased in that video with Reggie, Miyamoto, and Anouma.

-Suda 51 announcing No More Heroes 3 was pretty cool. I hope Robin Atkin Downes comes back as Travis Touchdown.

-So... we have two Xenoblade 2s now, I guess? I should probably finishing watching Chuggaaconroy's Let's Play of the first one.

-Arms and 1-2 Switch... I thought they were groan-worthy and they reminded me of gimmicky Wii shovelware.

-I wasn't really that excited over the new SMT game with all the characters I didn't recognize popping up. I felt like somebody who doesn't care about Marvel watching an Avengers movie.

-It was nice to see Splatoon 2 get announced. And didn't get a Fant4stic name like "Splatwon" or "Spla2n" or "Spla200n". The first one looked like something I would've played if I had a Wii U and I'm glad Nintendo's keeping the series alive.

-I feel sorry for everyone who got all the MK8 DLC and planned on getting a Switch now that MK8: Deluxe is a title (with extra new content, too). You got GOTY Edition'd.

-Not that happy about Nintendo charging for online and the $300 price point. It looks like there's a few games I want (BOTW, SM:O, Octopath), but if do get a Switch, I'll probably wait for a price cut to happen first.

-There appears to be a terrible mistake; there's a new Bomberman game from Konami and it's not a pachinko machine.

All of those trailers made me super hyped for the launch. I managed to get my pre-order in at best buy's website before they ran out. Seems most places have already ran out of online stock or are getting close.

Saw the presentation. Feels 3 years too late. Dunno about the games though, nothing interested me at all. Will keep upgrading my PC for another 10 years it seems. Liked that I could use the handheld thingy as a monitor, since I do not own a TV that was kinda cool.

I can see a new power-up for Mario. Trump-Mario. 

Maybe we'll have a Trump Tower in the game. We already have a Donald Trump pokemon in Sun & Moon.

Thank you Atlus for a mainline SMT game on a console.
