I like it! There are no unnecessary things that I mentioned earlier, like touch controls for platformer game or motion controls for the same kind of game. NX seems to have normal controls with buttons, and it can be played both on TV and on the go. For me Wii U did the same because my "on the go" was only in the bed. I rarely play outside the house. Bloodstained can find its home on this! I support it, the quality and performance should be better than on Wii U.

Pretty cool! I'm wondering though how this will interact/what it will mean for their existing handheld space, though. Very doubtful it plays 3DS games of course, and likely not portable VC stuff either? I imagine they will want people to still spend money on specifically the 3DS eShop for that, otherwise they will kind of cannibalize their own sales?
But, that said, it will be kind of silly to assume their fans/consumers will carry around both an NS and a 3DS. They have to have some sort of incentive to do that, if it's the case.

Guys. You might want to see this list. ListIf this is true (Key part), we're just 1 step shy of Bloodstained NX being confirmed.

I do like that Nintendo has taken their base focus off of "touch" and "motion" controls but I do hope they have it available some future games or as I said Virtual Console backwards compatibility or remakes of their older games.

Because yeah, it has 505 AND Inti Creates lol
So that means it'd actually be kind of surprising if our game was NOT on the thing.

I just wish it has a decent hardware, the idea itself is kind of strange but at least has potential, somehow.

The NX screen is probably a touch screen. Has it been mentioned? I think it should be so that would make it compatible with most Wii U games, especially Super Mario Maker which relies on touch. I also want Nintendo to keep VC games available, too.

I was cautiously optimistic about this thing for a long time and only got really hyped about five minutes before the trailer. I thought the name Nintendo Switch was really stupid at first, but after seeing what it does, the name fits. And I really love the logo!
The trailer shows previews of new games, too. A new 3D Mario game, a new Mario Kart, a new Splatoon, some basketball game, and what appears to be Skyrim. The large number of third parties working with the Switch is very encouraging, too! Seeing Inti Creates being an official partner makes me hopeful for a Bloodstained port!
I was very shocked and curious to see Autodesk among the third parties, though. If you're not aware, Autodesk is not a game company at all; rather, they make various creator software. I use Autodesk Sketchbook for my art pieces, for instance, and I'm currently trying how to learn AutoCAD so I can be more marketable to engineering firms. If Autodesk makes AutoCAD for the Switch, I would be able to bring my game console to work and no one would look at me funny! ...Okay, they might still look at me funny, but this is still mind blowing to me.

Well, my interest is definitely piqued. I can't say I'm hyped but it is definitely interesting. It left more questions than answers but all will be revealed in time. But...the fact those controller-things just slide on and off of that screen really worries me, for no particular reason actually.
Atlus seems to be a partner. So maybe another Tokyo Mirage Sessions and/or Persona 5: Arena would make its way onto it, if either of them even happen. I'd buy those. Marvelous Inc is on there too. Very interesting.

I just wish it has a decent hardware, the idea itself is kind of strange but at least has potential, somehow. I'm not too deep into this type of stuff, but nVidia (which has partnered with nintendo to make NS) had previously worked on nVidia shield, which is essentially the NS but for smartphones (attachable/dettachable controller and big screen support), so they aren't doing things blindly.

I'm in the cautiously optimistic/wait and see camp. I'm not blown away and I can't see myself getting one at launch, but I'm not completely ruling out the possibility of buying one either. That really depends on how the game lineup looks a couple of years down the road.
I'm glad there's a big lineup of big and indie publishers for the Switch. Here's hoping that there's consistently strong 3rd party support throughout the console's lifespan. I'm also happy that the Nintendo fans who are super adamant about their loyalty towards Nintendo and only own Nintendo consoles finally have a chance to play Skyrim.
The Switch's technology is interesting. It feels like it's doing the exact same thing a Wii U pad does, but it looks much more like a traditional tablet or tech gadget than an actual console. I'd also like to know more about what the Switch can do from a performance perspective; maybe this will finally be the platform where Telltale games don't constantly encounter framerate issues while running.
As for the trailer itself, I've seen lots of reactions making fun of all the millennials, beautiful and handsome people, and expensive apartments full of nice furniture for being unrealistic, but for me, the least realistic thing in the trailer was the group of people drawing on an old green chalkboard in 2016.

inb4 Dominos sues Nintendo over the logo.
Joking aside, I basically liked what I saw. I'd like to see more of the exact functions of the system (can it stream like the PS4 and XB1 can? How much memory does the system have without SD cards? etc.) before I can get truly excited.
Regardless, unless something about the system ends up deeply alienating me, I'll likely pick this up along with Breath of The Wild. (I'm sure there'll be a bundle.)
Also, over at Twitter Nintendo has showcased its various 'Switch Partners'.
Hopefully they can keep this up. The Wii U started off with fairly respectable third party support, but that went down the drain in due time.
Lastly, the trailer seemed to showcase a new Mario game, along with Skyrim. I wonder if the Mario Kart and the Splatoon game shown are updated ports or proper sequels. (The Splatoon fanbase is already quite happy about the pants and hairstyles seen in the trailer.)

Still trying to decide if I feel it's another Nintendo gimmick or actually a good idea. Anyhow what bugs me that NX/NS being (partially) a mobile console makes New 3DS look like even more of a cash grab than it was. *sigh* Grumbling aside, while looking for some more info I run into an article on arstechnica making educated guesses at Switch's capabilities. The interesting bit here is that backwards compatibility seems unlikely.

If this Nintendo Switch will not be costing more than $400 I will certainly save up my money to get it, since from how they are using cartridge-based like the 3ds (which make me feel that Nintendo switch will be using the same cartridge), even though it's very unlikely they will do that

Nintendo clears that the dock is only for TV output / charging, so it's not a hybrid console, just another handheld. ( www.theverge.com/2016/10/21/13356760/nintendo-switch-dock-functionality-tv-output-power) If you want great graphics then NVIDIA is definitely the way to go but their devices are somewhat power-consuming, not mentioning Switch has a big screen (720p or even higher I guess), battery life might be a problem. I'm not familiar with the new Tegra architecture (only used Tegra 2 on my phone several years ago), not sure whether these chips are powerful enough on par with XB1 / PS4... NV is pretty confident on that tho. Better than PS3, maybe? If Switch really happens to be a handheld device with console-level performance and decent battery life, it would be Nintendo's killing machine.
