BCB Episode 9 with Goobsausage

Iron Maiden's Eddie the Head (or a subtle nod to him) would be really kewl to encounter. There's a couple of metal mascots that would fit quite nicely into the Bloodstained mythos, I think. Just imagine to fight against the mighty Snaggletooth of Motörhead in AoS Balore-style... or maybe Murralsee of DIO, wielding his famous chain whip! Aaah, the love... the love!

I'm glad everyone's enjoying the episode so far! Mike and I have been trying to work something out for a long time and I was a little nervous about how it'd be received. I didn't want it to turn into my own personal "Duke Nukem Forever" or anything like that.

If anyone has any suggestions, improvements, or there was anything they didn't like about my appearance on the episode, I am open to feedback and constructive criticism. About five minutes into it I thought "Wow, I should really say 'yeah' less often," and can understand if people didn't think I was a good guest. I feel like Homer Simpson or Tobias Funke listening to themselves talk. Yeah.

Also, this is how my brain remembers the Richter boss fight in "Portrait of Ruin" went.

At the end of recording Mike asked me if I wanted to make any shout-outs and I said "no". I thought I'd go ahead and make some now that I've had the time to think about it.

-Check out Young Justice on Netflix. It's a show about a bunch of sidekicks and teenage superheroes in the DC Universe starting their own team. It's only two seasons long, pretty accessible to newcomers, and doesn't require any knowledge of comics, movies, or other TV shows in order to enjoy it. Yeah.

-The Same Photo of Jeff Goldblum every day.

-"Jay and Miles X-Plain the X-Men" is an X-Men podcast both Mike and I enjoy. They recap old X-Men comics and focus mostly on the Chris Claremont era.

-Yeah.

-If you're into comics, check out the new "Doom Patrol" series from DC. Its first issue released earlier this week. It was pretty weird, I have no idea what it's actually about yet, I got confused over what was going on, but I still thought it was pretty funny and the art and coloring were pretty nice. That whole combination means it's probably going to be right up my alley and I hope there's other people out there who enjoy it as much as I did. Here is an 8-page preview. Yeah. Plus, I don't want to live in a world where teenagers and grown men get super enthusiastic over cartoon ponies and things like Undertale and Homestuck are popular, but the characters and creativity in Doom Patrol goes unnoticed. Especially since you'll probably like it if you like those things.

Minor Nitpicks:

-Near the 16 minute mark you mention how Castlevania is popular in South America and that its not surprise that IGA and crew got treated well at Pixelatl. Pixelatl, the conference they attended, took place in Mexico and Mexico is in North America. I'm sure you know that but "Mexico is in SA" is a common mistake/slip of the tongue

-Near the 26 minute mark, you talk about pie throwing against Richter in Portrait of Ruin. That was indeed something you could do but it wasn't a 1HKO. The pie ability was a Dark type ability and Richter is weak to that element so, depending on your level and the skills you have available to you, throwing pies at Richter was often a good strategy:



Overall though, I enjoyed this episode and it was good to have the BCB back. Props to both the host and the guest

^It's official, Richter has a banana allergy. Otherwise, Cream Pie wouldn't be his one weakness!

(That, and the Jet Black Whip is good too if you're at a decently-high level.)

While I don't think you can 1HKO any Bosses, you can certainly instantly kill many enemies with the Dart sub-weapon if you master it (and hit enemies right in their center).

I admit that I'm pretty curious who will be a guest on the next one. I'm guessing another forum regular.

Yeah it is a pretty cool honor. I'm looking forward to the next one, that's for sure. :p
