Favorite Sun and Moon Pokes

There is actually a couple that I like in this new generation. I don't really care about competitively play, I just play because I like pokemon....even though "catching them all" is but a fleeting dream. Maybe...one day.


I actually really like the Alola version of Ninetales. Ice-Types are among my favorite types but there aren't a lot of them. Plus, there is something almost....hypnotic about it. Plus, the fan art is incredibly impressive and beautiful


I like Lurantis too. It looks like a bug type but it actually a pure grass type. It is quite pretty and it does have a bit more "personality" than some other pokemon have. I like the way it coyly holds its....claw(?) over its mouth and the way it stands. It reminds be vaguely of a traditional Japanese Dance, the one where they use the fans (I don't know what that is called though). I will also be quite annoyed if it doesn't learn Leaf Blade.


Then, finally, there is Rowlet because....Grass-Type starters are my favorite. Treecko is my favorite starter of any generation though.

Yeah, Lurnatis is cool. I will admit though, the one thing I don't like about Rowlet is the weakness to Rock. But, it might change types as it evolves. Lunala? Oh yes, the Legendary a Psychic-Ghost if I'm not mistaken. So, by the rules of Gen VI, it is immune to Fighting and Normal, takes x4 damage from Ghost and Dark, and takes normal damage or resists everything else. Dunno how things have changed in this generation though, They're really pushing the Fairy Type so things might have changed.

AHAHA Yes, I literally busted out laughing when I read that. Yeah I really like the design of the new 'delta' Pokémon, essentially. You know what's also funny, is that just a few short years ago, delta Pokémon in the TCG were the butt of many jokes, but NOW look at 'em. :p

ALSO Shax yeah I've noticed the spike in fairies, but you hafta remember that XY only had roughly 70 new pokes, and only like10-15 of those were of the fairy type, not including the pokes from previous gens that had their types changed, such as Togekiss and Clefable. Also on a side note, I am PISSED that Chansey still got stuck with Normal typing, though I supposed it's to be guessed, as it would shift the meta dramatically, especially if it had access to moves such as Moonblast, or Dazzling Gleam. Hmm...

NO CHANSEY IS NOT A FAIRY TYPE, AND YES IT WOULD BE FITTING!!  :'(  

On the other hand, I think that the Alola 'region' isn't gunna actually be that big of a region, I think what the idea is, is that its gunna be like white/black 2. The reason I think this is because there wasn't a 'successor' to x and y. Nintendo has never done this before. I also think you might be right Shax about there not being that many new pokes. I mean look at xy, and look at all the other new features that have been added to it: new type, new moves, new style of battles, I mean gen 6 really turned things on its heels.

Plus we know that zygarde will play at least a minor role in sun moon so I don't really view it as gen 7, more as gen 6.5, just with a lot more additions to the pokemon as we know them, then how far white/black 2 got. :p

Yeah plus there's gunna be no Gym leaders from the looks of it. or HM moves. But I'm ok with that. HM kinda sucked in the previous gens ahahaha.


ALSO I hope they keep mega evolution. There's been a lot of speculation that Z moves may take the place of Megas, but I certainly hope not, since I wouldn't have my mega Venusaur and there'd be a big hole in my team! >:/

While I also think its leaning towards no-megas this gen, I've seen a couple of ideas regarding balance: such as the pokemon needing to hold an item to use the Z-move (thus preventing Megas from using them) or making you choose between the two for a team. 

It would seem strange to toss Megas after they were so popular. My Sunlight team centered around pokemon like Mega Charizard Y, Sawbuck and Lilligant is one of the funnest teams I've ever had.
