If the Nx is well recieved... why not? I can bet it will do better than the Wii u I'm not. Why? Bevause odds are against that assertion. Think about it: every Nintendo home console with the exception of the lightning-in-a-bottle that was the Wii has sold significantly less than the one before. NES: 60m SNES: 40m N64: 35m GC: 23m WiiU: 10m The WiiU is consistent with what Nintendo's been doing for three decades with the Wii being the outlier. Now do I think the NX cannot turn things around? Of course not! But we don't know a single official thing about the console beyond a codename. So, if I had to bet, I'd say it'll sell less than the WiiU. It's not a wish, it's a forecast. But I also think its technically possible for the NX to be a success but right now, since we know nothing about it, its difficult to side with anything other than the tendency. And that tendency is Nintendo's hurting. And if Nintendo makes the NX a success you can bet your bottom dollar Iga will at least try to bring Bloodstained to NX. But I'd say let them release the game on the platforms they already announced in the Kickstarter before we demand for them to port it for a yet unannounced console that they never promised to deliver it on in the first place. Nintendo cannot unveil the NX soon enough. All this speculation over nothing substancial is frustrating. |

You've got a point with the sales, its just that the Wii u had this terrible start mainly because of the confusion caused by keeping "Wii" in the name and it took them so long to clear things out. Thats why I think that nintendo cant do worst with the Nx xD but we have yet to see what are those big innovations behid the new console. |

It wouldn't be bad if they feel like porting it later is a good idea, but it's a very good thing that Bloodstained will be added to the Wii U's library of games. Even thought it's too late for the Wii U, getting a 3rd party game like Bloodstained is something it will welcome. Who knows maybe with the gamepad controller it will have some unique traits to it like having the map on the pad or something.
As for the NX, I wonder how good something that's coming out so quickly and probably came to fruition in the first place due to the Wii U being a dud is going to be.

In case that the NX is not backward compatible then they could make a version for it later but it's late to add it to the Kickstarter and they will have to wait.
whatever happens never accept Nintendo or Treehouse offer to localize the NX version.

I think NX will be released no earlier than fall 2017. But I think it's so hard for NX at that time because PS4 will have so many good games in it's 3rd year. And if the performance of NX won't be as good as PS4 plus and New XBOX, they will lose the battle on first day, even they have Zelda and Mario.

i think theyll stick to the march '17 even with shortages because that puts it at the end of kimishimas 1st full year as ceo, and the opening sales numbers and demand will be a show of confidence going forward, plus if the rumors are true of a july nx reveal that gives devs an 8-9mth heads up, and if the other rumor about nx being easy to develop for holds up that means a lot of current and upcoming games can easily be ported increasing the initial lineup of games, i think they took a good look at the wiiu launch and are trying to avoid the same pitfalls it had
