The fact that they're making pizza jokes is actually getting genuine smirks out of me.
I'm a little wary of stream chats. I've had bad experiences with them. (The people in the little chats on the side can get really racist or vulgar or whatever from time to time.)
EDIT: I'm a little tired and need to get to bed, so I'll settle with making a lame joke in the stream and leaving.

By my estimation, MN9 is a 'play through once, don't bother playing again' experience at best. Imo, the 'dash through' mechanic doesn't look fun, and it actually reminds me of one of my issues with Gunvolt. In Gunvolt you had to abruptly stop to fight enemies with the tag-n-zap combat system, which really got on my nerves since it was such a departure from the more fast-paced Mega Man Zero games. MN9's dashing mechanic seems generally faster, but still bugs me.
Funnily enough, Ray's gameplay looks like it might be generally enjoyable. (And the Ray trailer was fairly decent, nothing like Deep Silver's disaster.) Still have no plans to get the game, I'll probably have much more fun with Tokyo Mirage Session this Friday.
How amusing to think that I was initially bummed to know that I didn't have enough spare money to pledge anything to the game, and now I'm relieved that no penny of mine went to this.
Bloodstained demo > complete Mighty No. 9 game.

The usage of the Wolf Link amiibo was revealed earlier today. Scanning the Wolf Link amiibo will make Wolf Link appear and serve as a companion for Link. By default he has three hearts, but he'll have more if you have hearts saved to the amiibo via the Cave of Shadows in Twilight Princess HD. (For me, he would have about 12-14 hearts when I scan him into the game.)

*ahem* New Zelda amiibos for a 2017 release.
They certainly look nice, and I am an amiibo collector (63 amiibos as of writing), but I'm reaching the point where I need to be conscious of space issues on my amiibo shelves, so I need to see their in-game functionality before I make any particular purchasing plans.
The Guardian amiibo irks me for space issues. Thanks to its legs, it'll take up about 4x the space of other amiibos.

So, the Treehouse Stream just showed us that outfit customization is a thing, which is a neat idea. As a fan of medieval stuff, and the knight orders in general, I'd enjoy putting Link in various medieval armors.
Beyond that, the Zelda world seems so... primitive. There seems to be so little in the way of man-made structures and such. I'm sure there are towns somewhere, but it does make me wonder what the current status of civilizations is in this Zelda game.

When I first came to a website that I had to put a username into, I felt really indecisive about what to call myself. I decided to play a game as I thought about it, and so I entertained myself with Mega Man Battle Network 3 on the GBA.
One of the enemies in the game is called a 'Scuttle'. Different variations of the enemy had different names, like 'Scutz' or 'Scuttler'. These different variations are also marked by different color and different element.
The white variation of the enemy, which has no element, was called a 'Scuttlest'. My decision to pick that name as my username was really arbitrary, but it's a name I've been using for nearly a decade now. (It was 2007 when I first took this username for myself.)
^ This is the white Scuttle aka a Scuttlest. Seems silly, but the username resulted in me having a funny little affinity with the enemy design, to the point that I pulled the following nonsense in Animal Crossing.

In my younger, more excitable days, this is the part where I'd by jumping with glee through my house. But instead I'll do my modern equivalent, which is to lean back in my chair with a big smile on my face. On a sidenote, I said in a thread some time ago about how I like water graphics in games and I hope Bloodstained can do good in that category. Well, that scene of Miriam running on the ship's deck with stormy waters in the background (about 0:10-0:14 of the video) might be my favorite part of the video. After looking at that, I'm hoping the full game can have some interesting dynamic backgrounds, without said backgrounds causing lag with the core game or anything. I might make a quibble that in that scene, the ship's deck looks like its dry even though there's a storm going. The wood certainly doesn't look wet to me.

While not my favorite FF, this is definitely something worth getting excited for. Much more excitement then FFXHD, at least.
Now hopefully Vaan can get a shirt for a DLC item...

Aaaaand, my internet connection is back. Alright folks, gather around and let me explain what the last 2-3 hours of my life was like.
My brother asks me to drive him to go see his son (my nephew), who has spent two nights in a row at a friend's house. I do so, and drop him off at the house. I'm asked to come back to pick my brother and nephew up in about half an hour, I agree to do so and leave.
Back home, I'm keeping careful watch on the clock, not wanting to be late. When suddenly there is a loud crack of thunder. And let me be clear, it was loud. So loud, that for a second I legitimantly thought that an explosive had been set off in my front yard. I actually went out my front door to see if anything happened. After realizing it was just thunder, I immediately got my wallet and car keys, figuring that while it might not have been half an hour yet, I should try to pick up my brother and nephew early and try to beat the storm.
That didn't work out.
While driving out, I noticed a giant storm cloud in the distance. Not 'Egyptian plague' giant, but pretty overwhelming big. I'm a little uncomfortable, wondering if I really should be driving right now, but I get back to the friend's house anyway, a little drizzle is starting up. They had reached the decision that my nephew would spend one single more night, and so my brother left with me. When he and I left the house, it was pouring.
Well, okay. A hard rain wouldn't be too hard to drive through, I thought. We ran through the rain to get into my car and drove off. But then the weather went crazy. The rain suddenly started coming down in such volume that you could see waves of water rolling on the road, and the wind was bad enough that it was ripping tree branchs from the trees and throwing them around. More then once I had to stop and drive around a large branch that the wind had thrown into the road.
Typically, I was dangerously close to these tree branchws before I saw them, the rain was coming down hard enough that I could barely see out of the windshield. If the rain was to the car's back I could sorta see, but if I was driving against the rain? Forget about coherently making out anything on the other side of the glass. I decide to drive very slowly to prevent any kind of accident. (On that note, what other vehicles I saw on the road were also driving very slowly.)
I did eventually get through all that and got back home. Just rushing from my car's parking spot to my front porch left me so drenched it felt like I had just stepped out of the shower. And, funnily enough, the rain started to let up as soon as I and my brother got back in my house. 10 minutes after we were back, rain wasn't falling at all anymore. I should have just waited it out at the friend's house, heh.
Of course, I got back home to a home that had no electricity running in it anymore. (I'd have been surprised if the power was still running considering what the storm had been like.) It came back after about an hour, but my internet only came back in the last 15 minutes or so.
(On a sidenote, I texted some family members to tell them to find a sturdy building and stay there until the storm ended. My mother responds to the text and says she's indoors, and "won't leave until the ark comes".)

"Cry like an anime fan of prom night"?
1. I don't think it's a good idea to take a potshot at a large chunk of potential consumers like that. Especially after all the negativity the product has already been hit with.
2. That seems more then a little hypocritical, seeing as they are making a MN9 anime.
Honestly, whenever any company tries this 'get hip with the kids' approach, it almost always turns out horrible. The narration was cringe-inducing and the jokes weren't funny at all. (To me at least, I understand humor is a subjective matter.) It utterly failed to sell the 'crazy addictive' gameplay, doesn't really explain how the dashing and comboing would help you beat or explore levels, and etc.
So, why do the explosions look like pizza?
Best to look at the trailer as a learning experience of how to not try to sell your product. To be frank, the only good thing about MN9, is that it paved the way for other gaming Kickstarters like Yooka-Laylee, Shenmue 3, and of course, Bloodstained.

I got Fire Emblem Fates on the first of this month, and the game has taken up all of my gaming time ever since.
I got the Birthright version, and I got Conquest as DLC. I don't intend to buy Revelations, honestly. (If this was still 2013, back when I was a diehard FE fan, all three versions would have already been bought, but, eh. My fandom flash has fizzled.) Just focusing on the Birthright route for now.

Eh, I can live with that. I already have a fair amount of late-ish in the year games that'll be occupying my time. (King of Fighters XIV, Pokémon Sun/Moon, etc.)
Just don't let the end product be like Duke Nukem Forever, yes?

Resident Evil 6 suffered from severe identity crisis in its desire to cater to the most amount of people. I prefer to not speak overly much about that game. Hopefully Capcom listened and heard the negative feedback from that game.
I find it hard to invest in an official person saying it will 'recapture the spirit'. How many times has someone at Capcom announced that they were 'going back to our roots' with Resident Evil at this point? Yet every game release actually brought it even further away from the franchise's roots. I'll grant that I did enjoy RE4 on my first few runs through it, but I've always felt that the game has extremely limited replayability.
Possibly relevant video.

I have Legends, and I have the $20 Season Pass. (So I'll be able to enjoy new characters and weapons on the Wii U version as well.)
Marin kind of really was the obvious choice for a Link's Awakening character. Considering Koei's fondness for turning non-fighters into fighters with Hyrule Warriors, and the fact that no other LA really comes to mind. Really looking forward to seeing how she fights. All we know right now, as far as I'm aware, is that her weapon is a bell. I'd love it if she had the shopkeeper's death ray as her Musou, haha.
Though the fact that the DLC packs are Wind Waker Master Quest, Link's Awakening, Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks, and A Link Between Worlds makes me sad for two reasons. 1) Among those games I only played Link's Awakening, so I probably won't feel much connection to the new characters past Marin, and 2) this means there's probably no chance of getting Vaati into HW, unless they make a HW2.
I really want to see Vaati return, even in a non-canon thing like Hyrule Warriors. I may also be fond of Malon becoming playable.

Am I a pervert? When she did that kick, my eyes zeroed in on those boxer shorts she's wearing.
Maybe I just noticed it because I haven't seen any official work that draws any kind of meaningful attention to her undergarments (or maybe I just wasn't paying attention at those times), but still.
Beyond that, I did like what I saw. Wish she had the scarf on her model, but oh well. Maybe next update. I also liked the running animation, seems to be an attempt to have a middle ground between the typical 'girly run' (ex. how Cheria runs in Tales of Graces, as just one of almost countless examples I could give) and a more 'normal' style of running.

Eh, Goobsausage is just some... goob.
*rimshot*
Heh, I forgot all about the date.
'Goofball' is better then most April Fool's jokes. I liked this holiday as a kid, but as I got older the 'punked' style of humor so prevalent on this date just wore thin with me.
In other news, I woke up at a regular time today. The insomnia has been conquered! My method of dealing with insomnia is to spend several days staying up as late as I possibly can and then go to bed, and keep doing this until I'm on a regular schedule again. Yesterday I stayed up for 26 straight hours, but now this particular episode of insomnia should be all behind me.

Had a bout of insomnia. (I seem to have a sleepless night at least once a month.) Which does not bode well for the rest of my day.
Might have to call off all of my plans around town for the day. I'll just sit in my house and try to stay awake for as long as I can before I go to bed, and hope my schedule isn't hurt too much by this.

I've only played Virtue's Last Reward. It was free for a time for Plus subscribers, so I got it downloaded onto the Vita (before my Vita was condemned to eternal dust collectordom).
The game did gleefully spoil quite a bit of 999's plot, but I've no current intention to get the first game so, meh. I've seen some people saying that 999 had the more likable cast, but I'd be surprised if 999 could give me a character I liked as much as Luna.
I recall that I did periodically turn to guides to get through VLR. Mostly during late night play sessions, where it's easier for me to get impatient.

Hyrule Warriors Legends.
Funny, I picked up DW8 to see what Warriors games were like in preparation for the Wii U Hyrule Warriors. Now I have all of the DW8 and SW4 games to my name, and I'd call myself a big Warriors fan now.
For the future, Alex's release will draw me back to SFV, and I intend to get the Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- demo early next month.

Honestly, I always go into stuff like E3 with little to no particular expectations. Sometimes I can be a bit of a buzzkill when people are speculating about possible reveals, but I'm afraid I just have a "Hope only brings disappointment" attitude in these sort of situations.
As for Bloodstained showing up at E3, just some concept art getting shown off in a booth is my idea of a 'daring' expectation.
