What we really need is to see how the Pumpkin Bloomer Development Team is doing. More funding is obviously important, but do they have enough data? Well, guess it's time for me to go buy a pair, take some pictures, send them to Iga, then get arrested minutes later. . .
On second thought that's a bad idea.

Cale Sweet, that will kill another day. By the time we finish critiquing the character model the game will be here. (Zombiebuni made the picture btw. I never learned to photoshop. T_T) Sooner or later we will have an eyelash length poll to pore over!

Although I say it's a non-issue the thing that is an issue for me is the curse being noticeable. Face is too distracting a place to put it, she has it on her legs already, and the rest of her body is covered anyway. Lore wise we need a somewhat shown chest where the curse covers the heart. Beyond that I hope they don't change Miriam too much. I can put boobs on him too if that's what you want. That's not what you want. Who's to say? Might be a good look for him. On a serious note though, I think we already had this conversation about face tattoos. Hey, we got another poll to do now, face tattoo or no face tattoo.

Yeah I think the breast issue would be solved right away if they just pulled the edge of her top a bit farther up, because in all honesty as it is now is dangerously close to Dead or Alive territory. The last thing I want is for the majority of this fan base to end up becoming horn dog frat boys who only buy the game for 'teh bewbs', while completely disregarding everything else. Big breasts aren't really an issue, but its how the company decideds to treat them, in terms of clothing, that can cause issues. and again another issue brought up is the fact she has an inconsistent bust size in all her art works. Personally I think giving her a bust size that meets a decent middle ground compared to her art works would be ideal. Basically this. It does remind me of the over-sexualized look of Dead or Alive. Not the SIZE but the cloth being so low. I get they want to show the whole symbol but maybe they can work around that a bit. You still see most of it in the pic I posted and maybe if a power comes out of it, it glows through the portion thats covered too. It's just so low people, I get that it's their vision but it looks a bit much that everytime someone sees it they will make comments. Every single person i've shown the picture to is immediately drawn to the fact that her boob coverage is low. The focus should be the curse but i don't think the focus is truly on that with the design being like that. Upping it just a BIT would help tremendously. Not trying to be nosey here, but maybe it's a geographical thing? I'm from Canada and have yet to hear anyone comment on her look over here. >_> I am not sure about USA, EU, or anywhere else in the world. Might have to be a regional censorship?

Guys, I saw this posted on NeoGaf and I agree with the poster there that the solution is really not about the size of the breasts but that the cloth is too low. Here's the example posted, it looks much better and more appropriate on the quick photoshop to the right. My only problem is the curse is hidden more. They could make flat as a board if it made people happy, but to me the curse is the whole reason for her look and the "giant" bosom. The idea from what I recall is to show the curse over her heart, if we cover more it won't be obvious, if the chest shrinks it will be a smaller "canvas". Edit: Maybe? But that might assume plot/character details we don't have (unless I forgot/missed something). As an example we know Miriam uses the curse mark on her back to summon ghosts: Since we know the crystal curse can be used to conjure powerful magic, I have no clue if something similar can be done with the mark on her chest and/or if the developers intend to go that route. This is something important that I didn't even think about, we have only seen a front view of Miriam so far! How are they handling her back?!

OR we can look at it as a positive! 2,600 of us have a better chance of getting exactly what we want while the rest of the backers will be relatively happy regardless of the direction. I agree, so long as we have a representation of active members that reflects the entire fan base. This is actually true if compared to the percentage of votes going one way or the other on the forum poll vs Google poll for shader 1 and 2. Those numbers will be revealed on the next BCB. Considering how diverse these forums' reactions have been to announcements or test shaders, I have a hard time imagining someone's point of view not being vocalized. I love that we have so many different opinions, and even better we are civil in our discussions!

It really is impossible, but that's OK. Forums aren't for everyone. Only about 2,600 gave official shader feedback from the Kickstarter survey update. That's disappointing compared to how many backers the game has. We just have to be the kind of place someone will want to get engaged with. Be positive, respectful, and have interesting posts about the game. OR we can look at it as a positive! 2,600 of us have a better chance of getting exactly what we want while the rest of the backers will be relatively happy regardless of the direction.

This will be addressed in the next Bloodstained Community Broadcast, and I was surprised at the explanation. Awesome! They are addressing something that is minor, but still important to some of us! I love how much Iga and his team care about this game!

I didn't really want to chime in on this because to me this is a non-issue. From the picture though I think it's mostly angle, and cropping. Imagine her full height, the top of her head being cut off, the width of the top of her hips (we can't even see the total width), thickness of her arms, width of abdomen, and the length of her legs. She is actually pretty well proportioned. As for them being too big. . . Well my wife would disagree. They seem average. What I would be more concerned about is the lack of a teardrop shape, but it is immediately explained by what she is wearing anyway. Enter the Bustier! (Basically medieval push up bra) And as mentioned above, plenty of the concept art has her bustier than what some people seem to think. But this is just one opinion.

That said, yeah... how can anyone not like this? Is it perfect? Nah, the crystals need to look less like a tattoo and more like an affliction, and we still don't know what's up with that extra clothing on her shoulder, but otherwise it's totally amazing! I didn't want to attract attention to the shoulder thing because everyone was happy for an update; that being said, I too am still puzzled if it will remain, I am hoping for bare shoulder for final product.

It might be late, but I still want to wish you all a Happy New Year! Here's an excerpt I find quite appropriate at this time of year.
At exactly twelve o’clock midnight 1973-74 Los Angeles it began to rain on the palm leaves outside my window the horns and firecrackers went off and it thundered.
I’d gone to bed at 9 p.m. turned out the lights pulled up the covers – their gaiety, their happiness their screams, their paper hats, their automobiles, their women, their amateur drunks…
New Year’s Eve always terrifies me
life knows nothing of years.
now the horns have stopped and the firecrackers and the thunder… it’s all over in five minutes… all I hear is the rain on the palm leaves, and I think, I will never understand men, but I have lived it through.

Well thinking it over, this game would have more cause for a succubus than Castlevania. Bloodstained = Demons, Castlevania = Vampires (oversimplifying).

I want the general difficulty to be as hard as OoE but I also want to have the option to become as rediculously powerful if you do all the extra tough stuff as well. Like being able to get to level 255 after beating it at lvl 1 hard mode cap. Or getting some really broken items for doing the challenges like the stat up items in PoR. And to add to this I like the balance Iga put in his games, even though lvl 1 cap hard mode is needed to unlock the level limit you can use NG+ file to beef up your inventry first and your hp, mp, and heart stats. For the challenge enthusiasts who wish to do this type of playthrough fresh they can but it dosn't lock out someone who doesn't want to go through these frustrations but is willing to spend a bit more time in the game. I agree with the level difficulty mode styles, as they added to the longevity of the Castlevania titles. Both PoR and OoE were humorously difficult, and I'd like to see this same level of difficulty captured in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night in some fashion. As you somewhat mentioned, when playing as the default protagonist(s) on these modes, the use items such as miser's ring to steadily increase their damage made a huge differences in the overall game play difficulty of said modes. While it was amusing at first, I later realized that it took away from the boss fights and almost felt like borderline cheating in a sense (somewhat similar to the Glyph Union attack "Universitas" spam with the Queen of Hearts helmet, you could essentially walk into any boss fights and, with enough heart refreshes, could obliterate the boss untouched within a span of two or three seconds). Amusing at first, but disappointing later on. What I'm hoping for is no Alucard Shield, Miser's Ring, "Universitas" Glyph Union level of nonsense, at least on the higher difficulty settings. Restrict item use in harder difficulties, to prevent these loop holes in the difficulty level, at least until full completion of said difficulty mode. Even if it is more difficult overall, and if may frustrate some players, the satisfaction you get from finally beating these bosses at such impossible odds is immense. The funny part is that the restrictions of items use in other character modes could also turn bosses that were earlier perceived to be easy into outright nightmares. An example I would have is "The Creature" in PoR. Normal default game play, fun fight that is somewhat challenging, if at all. Later, I tried lvl.1 Richter mode against him. He was an absolutely insane boss fight (in fact, all of the last 6 bosses became completely ridiculous). From my experience, hard modes with items available had the most enjoyable exploration content, whereas hard modes with no items available had the most enjoyable boss fights experiences. With this in mind, I'd hope that an agreement of sorts could be met to capture both aspects of this gaming, but I'm curious as to how this can be accomplished beyond item restrictions. Anyone got some ideas? Bolded amazing idea.

I wonder if they will utilize the Crystal curse for death sequences. Say if Miriam takes one final hit, her body covers with crystal as she tries to move before she is crystalized. Like a statue. Also, if this was the case, it would be cool if those statues exist through everyone's online game world to show where spots are tough and where they aren't (and where it may take time to figure out what happened). Fromsoftware?
