Galamoth i don't think so. I don't remember wall-jumping or anything like that in my dream, but it would be fun, for sure! Thanks purifyweirdshard BalancedHydra Ahaha, not that i remember Lestaroth about the boss, well, i did a bad artwork of him. I said i don't know much how to draw, although i tried to learn, so, here goes. It was something like this:

I really ddin't know where to post this, and i thought that creating a thread just for this silly thing could be idiot, but here goes. I had a dream today (05/09/2017) about Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The area was something like this, i think, like the first concept and gameplay we saw, but with a more purple color and with fog. In my dream, the E3 DEMO was out for us to play. The main menu was changed to something with more redish / purpleish colors, with the menu options arranged to the left and a huge empty space at the right (a bit like it is now), where Miriam artwork would be (she was going to have a updated artwork and they didn't put there in time, if i'm not mistaken). Miriam's status was arranged at the bottom, alongside gold, time and such. The Demo was something foward in the castle, so, you started at a higher level (20's or something), within a closed area of the castle (everything closed with the same looking door that i don't remember how it looked). You started with some shards for all types (including familiar) but specially Trigger ones. I remember equipping a Trigger shard that Miriam attacked summoning a magical skull or something similar. It has something to do with skulls...And we also started with some equipments, with Miriam equipped with a gun at a start, that you could shoot and charge like Megaman's X Buster. The Castle area we could play was also something more redish/ purpleish in color, with a thick purple fog in the background. You could see some windows and it looked A BIT like the first concept (like the picture above) but you could barely see the background scenario due to the fog. The ground was brown carved stones at some point, and more plain at other parts. So, while i was playing, i kept going foward. Lots of plataforming and some stairs, killing a bunch of new demons that we never saw, i really don't remember how they looked and picking small crystals, new items i don't know the use for. I remember getting a Enchant Shard from a Demon, whose looks i don't remember, and the shard's effect i don't remember too, until i reached a boss. The boss i remember in quite detail. It was big, but not huge, like the size of Dullahammer. It looked like a huge spinning "disk" made of flesh, bones and skulls. It was browish with red (blood / flesh) parts, with a wheel made of bones, a pile of skulls in the center that formed a huge menacing skull. It kept spinning nonstop on it's place without moving. The boss's method of attack was shooting pink lasers that could move after being shot and breathing a wind that kept me from getting closer (i think the wind came from it's spinning velocity). So you was "locked" at the left, with the boss at the right. The only way to hit him was by shooting with the Megaman's-style gun i had equipped and throwing the Skull-like shard i had. When i beat him, all he dropped was small crystals like the ones i got from other enemies. And then the demo ended. The demo got mixed reactions, with many people praising it and also many people saying that Miriam's movements got worse for some reason. I don't remember, but i think Miriam's visuals was also a bit different (maybe that's why the meny didn't had artwork?). Then, after playing it, i came here to do my traditional analysis post at the update thread, and then i woke up. ... Talk about someone willing to play more Bloodstained, to the point of dreaming with it! I wanted to post this also because, when the Demo is out, i wanna check if ANYTHING on my dream will make any sense. Or maybe when the full game is out. Well..tha's it. Thanks for reading. That's all folks!
I'm not really good at drawing, but maybe i will draw the boss, since it is the only thing i remember clearly, and post here, if it doesn't look terrible.

Although i really like Galamoth idea, it is really creative, i agree with crocodile on this. I was thinking about this these days by the way. Let's take a note: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night have shards, crafting materials, usable items, equipment and money (and maybe, quest items) and ALL that can be drop from enemies. That alone is already a ton of things and enemies at this game already look like walking christmas presents with such a load of things to drop. I think adding more drop items could make everything too convoluted and confused. Galamoth idea on puryfing Shards is great. That reminds me a bit of Yoko and her role in Dawn of Sorrow to fuse souls into equipment and freeing them. Consuming Shards to forge specific equipment not found anywhere else is a great idea to give them another functionality.

Most Igavania games had a lot of areas in common. Places that became a classic staple. Even so, some games had "that area", a place that is kinda unique, interesting and fun to play, with a groundbreaking music and such. What i want to know from all of you is: What Castlevania Areas you would like to see a version in Bloodstained? Of course, the area doesn't need to be equal. What i want to know is if you would like to see something similar / inspired by a certain place in a certain Castlevania, in Bloodstained. I'm going to start with three areas from three different games. You can suggest how many you want from the same game or different games: CATACOMBS (Symphony of the Night)
I could choose a ton of areas from Symphony, since that game have a lot of interesting places. But i really like the catacombs. I think it is the area that gives a really claustrophobic feeling. Closed spaces, low celling, broken ground, without paths in the background, just a wall with adornments. It's music also helps to create this feeling. FLOATING GARDEN (ARIA OF SORROW)
I think Gebel's castle would be awesome with a location like this. A bunch of rooms floating in the sky, like flying islands where you can see the moon / sun in the background, clouds moving fast, with teleports or something connectiong one at the other. TRISTIS PASS (ORDER OF ECCLESIA)
I know this would be hard, considering most of the game will be inside a Castle, but i really would love to see something like Tristis Pass. Mountains connected by broken bridges with flying-type demons all around, where you can see more moutains and clounds in the background, inviting you to explore more. Maybe a part of the Castle could wrap around some mountains? That's all folks

to be really honest Lestaroth i saw the refund option in quite some games i played, but i can't remember none of them right now. I think this is more usual in MMOs and since i played quite a lot, i got confused. About the pawn shop, i get it now. I always like to open discussions like you do, but i'm in a lack of ideas, everything was discussed already and so i decided to post here to have something to say, since your discussion was interesting

Well, let me give my two cents.
The buying and selling, equipment comparison mechanic is pretty basic, there is no need to change that. About armor showing up on her, i'm sorry to disappoint you but that is not going to happen. It is too resource consuming. Many games doesn't do that, because they consider the character's design to be part of it's own personality. You can change the armor visually of Dragon Age character's, you can have alternative options on Soul Callibur, you can change some of the clothing in Final Fantasy X-2 and Lightning Returns, but you can't do that in most other games. Getting a refund to buy something by mistake is usual in many games and i think it never showed up on Igavanias, but to be honest, i think it has a good reason for that. Most Igavania games are completionists, so, there is little point to add a refund option if you bought a weapon that you don't really need, because a lot of players are aiming to have everything (and some of them, reaching the cap with everything). Special discount prices on specific equipment can work, but i remember that Aria of Sorrow had a soul power that could cut down prices in around 20%. Maybe this is best suited for a Enchant Shard or a special equipment. About rare items, i think they are WAY better suited for finding on game and dropping from enemies, rather than showing up randomly at shop. About unknown items, i also think that is a good idea BUT i also think they wouldn't do it. When the Shard system was being developed, at first IGA wanted the player to get a new Shard but it would only be usable after maturing it with alchemy. Later on, it seems they gave up on that idea because the team thought it would be frustrating to pick a new power that you can't use it right away. I think they probably have the same opinion regarding equipment. The game will have quests. Tied to the shop, most probably. I don't understood what do you mean by the pawn shop thing. Event to get equipment, i have the same opinion as above. Let rare and powerful equipment, story-wise equipment and such, to the castle and enemies and events there. Giving a backstory to the shop is something i would like it too. Aria and Dawn of Sorrow had teleports close to their shops, so, that is a good idea too. MY SUGGESTIONS
Well, for the most part, i think the shop could be what it was in most Igavanias, i just have some small suggestions regarding the Anne and Dominique dynamic and Shop upgrade. I think there must be a difference in shop when Dominique is there, to when Anne is there. Or there is no point in making them change places sometimes. It could be prices or inventory, quests or something else, but it must have a difference. About the shop having new items, i like the Order of Ecclesia route, where you actually did quests to upgrade the shop inventory, as long as they are not too hard to do it.

Damn, they censored in a way that we can't see at all who is recording and for what character!
I'm curious now. Not only that, now i think that the next update may show us a "update stage" as IGA said in the last one (a new stage or a old stage updated, don't know) AND some info about voice and dubbing!

As far as i know, we will have customization by the common equipments. Head gear and weapons shows up on Miriam's graphic, as we seen in Demo. So, when you equip a ribbon or hat, it will show on her head, instead of her default head ornament (the little horns). Boots to use as weapons also take the place of her default boots and the game will have different scarves that wiil also change on her graphic. Now, other things, such has hair color, skin color and such, as shown on the picture above, probably will happen in a separate menu / option. It is hard to tell. When they talked about customization, they weren't clear enough. I don't know if the customization will be equipment-based (where changing equipment changes stats and visuals, like in the Demo) or if we will have something more than that.

About Alfred being playable, i must remind some people that we have the "Boss Revenge Mode", where we will be able to play with some bosses to attack the heroes. This mode wasn't explained properly yet, but if Alfred turns into a boss, i'm pretty sure we will be able to play with him in the Boss Revenge Mode at least

Lestaroth i also think that not adding them all would lose the potential designs. But as i said up there, it would also make the whole voting process meaningless. As an additional information, i saw some people talking about how many familiars the game could have and implying that maybe it wouldn't be much. It really depends on what system you use. For the record, on all Igavanias: CASTLEVANIA: SYMPHONY OF THE NIGHT: 5 familiars (7 on japanese version*): Bat, Demon, Faerie, Ghost, Sword, Nose Demon*, Fairy* CASTLEVANIA: ARIA OF SORROW: 2* familiars: Alastor, Imp *(some other souls may be considered familiars by players, but officially, those are the only familiars in the game). CASTLEVANIA: DAWN OF SORROW: 9 familiars: Alastor, Bat, Corpseweed, Gaibon, Great Armor, Harpy, Mini Devil, Needles, Quetzalcoatl. CASTLEVANIA: CURSE OF DARKNESS: 6 types of familiars (called I.D. Innocent Devils) : Fairy, Battle, Bird, Mage, Devil and Pumpkin. Each familiar having several different forms, with a total of 51 familiar forms. CASTLEVANIA: PORTRAIT OF RUIN: 2 familiars: summon crow and summon ghost. (They act like familiars). Considering the past record, Castlevanias never had a lot of familiars. If Bloodstained follows the same path, AND if all four designs were added, there wouldn't be a lot of room for new familiars... BUT Bloodstained has a shard type specific for familiars. That makes me think the game will try to go further than what past Igavanias did.

Changed the thread's name crocodile Well, it seems i'm losing, or i already lost, it's okay wanted to check everyone's opinion Personally, i like all four designs, but to be honest, the one i liked least was Armor (but no, that's not why i did this thread) ARMOR: for me, Armor is just a generic weapon-wyelding soldier. I think he needs to exist because "we need one". But that's it. FAIRY: I agree with crocodile on this. It would be great to have a Fairy like in Symphony of the Night, with more or less the same usage, and that's my main reason for wanting her. If the game will have other Fairy, i'm fine with it. SKELETON: I remember a random comment in 2015, asking people to vote for Skeleton because that's the closest the game would probably have for a "Grim reaper" type enemy, since IGA want to make Bloodstained different from Castlevania. At the time, i thought that was a good enough argument to have it. GOOFBALL: the joke, funny familiar. Again, if the game will have something like this, that's fine for me. Also, Goofball is a mascot already. About the voting, yes, they could make Armor the first familiar you get, as Astaroth said. About Enkeria proposal of Familiars having progression usage, i personally love that idea, but to do that, they would need to not be locked into common enemies. Think about this. Let's say Aello, the harpy demon is a familiar. And she can float with you for a little bit, to make you go through some plataforms to progress in the game. Shards are random dropped. So, the player would need to figure it out that 1) It needs a familiar 2) It needs Aello 3) it needs to kill Aellos until one of them drops the shard. To make your idea work, familiars would need to be bound to bosses (that would give Shards with 100% chance of sucess, since they are a one-time fight, mostly) and/or would need to be without demons, floating around like Castlevania's relics or Aria of Sorrow Soul Holders. About the thread itself, well, it seems i lost

In Update #15, back in July 1, 2015, we were presented to four familiars to choose one. The other three would be scrapped. That was a way to interact with players, and it was a nice touch. Back then, kickstarter was still going and no one knew how much money they would conquer in the end. Fastwoard now, and the game got 5.5 million and a ton of stratch goals. The game will have way more than four familiars, of course, but the other three from the 2015 poll was scrapped. In a way, asking for all of them to be in the game would violate the whole purpose of doing that voting in the first place. Not only fans voted, but IGA would choose between the two most voted, and IGA decided to go with the most voted of all. But the game got way bigger than anyone would expect. It would really be THAT hard to bring all the four familiars back in the game? I don't think so. The familiars were (with their temporary names and descriptions) : ARMOR A familiar that is the torso of a living suit of armor. Its key word is "Cool". It ranked 1st in the Poll, and was the one Iga picked. FAIRYA Fairy familiar with an oriental theme. It's key word is "Cute". It ranked 2nd in the Poll.SKELETON A Familiar based off the Grim Reaper. It's key word is "Scary". It ranked 3rd in the Poll. GOOFBALL An Imp familiar with a goofy colorful design. Its key word is "Humor". It ranked 4th in the Poll.
So, knowing full well that: 1) this would violate the purpose of voting back in 2015. 2) the game may be in a stage in development that this may be impossible. 3) maybe not many players have the same desire that i have. I'm here, asking for the dev team to make a comeback and PUT ALL FOUR 2015 POLL FAMILIARS IN THE GAME, and not only the one that was selected. I added a poll, to see if i'm the only one with that in mind, of if anyone else has the same desire. I don't know if this thread will have any support or not, but i really wanted to ask this. I also marked Mana to check with her, if possible, if this move is still possible or if that is not possible anymore. And, if possible, i'm also marking the most acrtive members and staff, such as XombieMike , purifyweirdshard , Enkeria , Goobsausage , Galamoth , crocodile , CastleDan , gunlord500 , Lestaroth , LeoLeWolferoux , cecil-kain , Arcueid Brunestud , JeffCross , Motoko , Astaroth , to join in the convo and check their opinions. Sorry if i forgot anyone, too many to remember. If that is not possible anymore AND/OR if few agree with me, that's totally okay Thanks. That's all folks!

Anne Knolles (アン・ノールズ) Age: 12
A village girl whose parents were murdered. Anne was saved by Dominique and Miriam when demons attacked her village. When Dominique is out of town, Anne looks after the shop. She is a bright and cheerful girl.
The UPDATE 51 bring us three new characters. Alfred, Anne and Dominique. Of all three, Anne, at first, seems to be the least important one. A girl whose parents were murdered, saved by Dominique and Miriam and that takes care of the shop while Dominique is out of town. She may have a small role in the game, or maybe she is way more important than we think. And, of course, she could potentially be a playable character, although that is way less possible to happen, considering what we know as of now. Like the other new character's thread, this one is to discuss Anne. But, specially, Anne's ROLE in the game. 1) ANNE AS A PLAYABLE CHARACTER
Anne is 12 years old and it seems she isn't much more than a simple plain villager girl. But she may have more than it meets the eye. She was 2 years old when the Ritual happened, 10 years ago, so, it is almost certain she didn't participate on it. But Anne surviving the demon slaying on the village may have some higher significance, besides she being saved by Dominique and Miriam. Maybe Anne has natural magical powers (like Maria in Castlevania)? Or Anne has a relation with the whole plot way deeper than we think... What do you think? Anne should be a playable character? How her gameplay could be? 2) ANNE AS AN ALTERNATIVE SHOP
Her official role right now is a shopkeeper alongside Dominique. Whe Dominique is out of town, Anne will take care of her shop. That begs the question if Anne's shop will be different than Dominique's. Maybe the little girl can't handle money that well and gives discounts? Or she has a whole different inventory to offer. Who knows, maybe her parents WERE alchemists or had some relation with them, and, as such, she has artifacts, relics and magical items to sell? What do you think? When Anne is taking care of the shop, her shop could be different from Dominique? How? 3) ANNE AS A QUEST-GIVER
It was stated already that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will have quests, like Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia. Anne could offer quests (maybe Dominique too) to be completed. Maybe you could seek mementos from her parents that demons stolen for some reason, or she could have great cook abilities and you would fetch cooking items for her to create food as healing items? What do you think? Anne could offer Quests? If yes, how they would work out? That's all folks!

Great thread Galamoth here are my answers! - So how powerful is he, exactly? We can speculate that he is all-might powerful. He is considered unmatched by his fellow alchemists and we need to remember that he survived Gebel's purge. Gebel became a beacon to attract demons and literally massacred a whole guild full of alchemists, people that, for sure, can use offensive and deffensive magic. Yet, he survived. And he is wandering around the world for 10 years, probably slaying demons along the way. I can bet he is probably the most powerful "human-like" character in the game, maybe only lower than Gebel because Gebel let the curse take his body to gain more power. - How will he interact with the other characters?I can see Alfred taking a manipulative role. He will probably talk with all characters, but he wants nothing more than what Gebel possess. He has his own agenda, it is hard to tell right now what that could be. - Exactly why does he want the "Book of Logaeth"?It seems that Bloodstained universe has two very important itens. The Book of Logaeth and the Enochian Table. Both were used to create the curse to call demons on earth by turning people into beacons to attract them. I don't remember if it was confirmed, but IT APPEARS THAT Johannes used a magic, using Enochian language, to block the curse on Miriam's body from growing (the letters around the flowers on Miriam's chest, leg and such) and he offered that to Gebel, that refused (so, Johannes probably has the Enochian Tablet). I could guess that those items are powerful relics, with varied effects. The book probably has secrets he wants to know. Or maybe, HE wants to became a beacon to demons HIMSELF, since he saw that doing this grants power (like Gebel's magical prowess and control over demons and Miriam's ability to absorb Shards) and he wants those powers for him too. - Is there any significance to that rose motif on his robe? As far as we kno, the magi-curse works like this: you became a beacon to attract demons and your skin crystalizes. With time, big chunks of crystalized skin became flower-shaped and that grow even more and more. As i said above, Johannes used Enochian language magic to stop Miriam's curse from consuming her completely, blocking the roses to grow further. Considering the ritual happened 10 years ago, and Johannes most probably used the Enochian tablet to block Miriam's curse, we can guess that Alfred doesn't have that, so, he can't block the curse on himself, IF he is cursed. He would be in the same level as Gebel, and i don't think he is (Gebel already has half his face crystalized), so, i think he is not cursed. The rose motif on his robe is probably just a design choice. - GameplayGameplay-wise, i don't think Alfred will be a playable character. I see him as a very important NPC for that. BUT, if he turned out to be, i agree that there is no other way then tome-beating and magic-summoning.
