Thought inspired by this thread; A poltergeist enemy whose attacks vary depending on where it is encountered.
- In a library, it launches books at you, some of them shooting out spectral weapons.
- In the kitchen, knives, pans, and the occasional flaming piece of food...maybe the last drops a health item if hit with an ice attack.
- In a dungeon, an assortment of bones.
- In a garden, leaves, stones, pruners, spades, and the occasional toxic mushroom.
- In a laboratory, bottles of various volatile chemicals.
I love this idea.

It relased at 12:00 and by 12:20 it was already sold out. I was pretty sad. But I guess the orange one will do.

You're missing the point. Which is that nothing creative is being put forth as an idea for future merch. The stained glass idea is not creative. It's already a reward for $2,500 backers. We did't come up with it. Read my post again. I understand most people didn't pledge such a large amount of money but the point is that we've thrown out ideas that are much cooler than a generic $2 mug with some concept art printed on it. I'm sorry you feel this way about the whole thing, but I'm also not sure what your expectations from him were.
My expectations before the thread: We're probably getting some generic merchandise I'm not planning on buying. Anything I would want I'm already getting via my pledge. My expectations during the thread: If they're asking for our input it must mean they're planning something a little better than mugs and shirts. My expectations after the poll: We're definitely just getting shirts and mugs.
All this thread did was get my (maybe our) hopes up. I guarantee the list of possible merch is exactly the same as it was before the thread even happened.

That wasn't directed at you estebant , I was making a general statement of my experience interacting and watching people online. Also yes, removing posts or users from a forum can be to the benefit of an entire forum. It is often a healthy thing to do in the appropriate circumstances. The examples are innumerable but rather than derail this topic further I'd suggest you just PM me if you want to talk about this more. This is a "Bloodstained on Switch" topic and I fear I may have taken it a bit too far off course. My apologies to the other posters >_< I never said you should NEVER remove posts. But whatever, you're right. This is not the thread for that.

No Aztec is right, your speech isn't protected on a private forum. Using the internet in recent years has shown me that people don't have a good grasp of what free speech actually is. They somehow think its carte-blanche to say whatever they want to however they want wherever they want without any repercussions. Moderation on a forum isn't an impediment on free speech and while it is true that over-moderation can stifle and smother a community, a lack of moderation is how you end up with the various cesspools on the internet (that I won't mention). It's about striking a balance and that often is influenced by the size of the forums and the topics it will frequently tackle. As the official forums of the Bloodstained game (and what I imagine will be the jumping off part for the entire Bloodstained fandom once the game launches proper), you would want a site like this to be well moderated. THANKFULLY, 99% of people who post here are pretty awesome and don't regularly post sketchy stuff so the forum has only needed a very, very light touch and I hope it continues that way. That said, if someone is really being out of line, their free speech isn't being stifled if they got a smackdown. ANYWAY, to get back on topic - it will be nice to have a new Igavania that you can BOTH play on the big screen and take with you on the go (yes I know the Vita exists but I figure most people aren't buying a new Vita nowadays). It was already mentioned that update #50 wasn't supposed to cover this development but I do wonder if they will now make a statement at the same time (maybe the reason the update seems a bit delayed?). I think the next update was supposed to be an Ask IGA so that should be cool either way I don't disagree with any of this. Just because it's "legal" for moderators to remove whatever post they feel like doesn't mean it's good for the forums. I understand a public forum is different from the government censoring free speech. I don't know if you're being patronizing on purpose or if thats even directed at me... but what part of what I said makes you think I don't know about free speech?

Guys, the best way to handle posts that seem troll like to you (even if they may not really be) is to ignore them. The bait gets nibbled and the thread changes tone and gets derailed. Edit: You know, Scars Unseen ... One of the tougher things for me is balancing free speech vs negativity and choosing when to refute vs when to ignore. Despite what I said above being my personal preference from experience, I want to make it clear that publicly refuting someone is still perfectly OK. If Kale were to review the rules, they would see the section on spam. A one word reply of "ew" doesn't ads value to a conversation. All in all, it's no big deal in any case. There are just the things I feel I am responsible for. Sometimes I think my commentary on this stuff hurts more than helps. If anyone has a problem with a post, please remember you can report it instead of publicly arguing, but I suppose public arguing has its place. Suppressing speech is suppressing thoughts, and thoughts will boil over. It's better to refute and use logic to progress a conversation in many cases. All said though, the Internet often shows its best not to feed the trolls. This is a privately owned website. You're not infringing on any of our free speech rights by deleting or editing posts you don't like or deem inapropiable. We dont all have to like it but the right to free speech only shields us from the government arresting us for our views. It doesnt mean that your website must tolerate or host posts you may think are unfit. I hope he doesn't follow your advice. This line of thinking makes moderators abusive and users afraid to speak out their minds.

But if you look at the poll, everything listed is stuff fangamer has done in the past. We have suggested nothing new or interesting that hasn't been shot down. Also, they've done stained glass art before? I don't think so man haha. You're missing the point. Which is that nothing creative is being put forth as an idea for future merch. I don't understand the point of this thread. Anyone could've predicted there would be posters, shirts and keychains. Anything more interesting than the average generic merch is too expensive to produce. To gauge interest for and get feedback from other fans and Fangamer. And brainstorming ideas, too. But if you look at the poll, everything listed is stuff fangamer has done in the past. We have suggested nothing new or interesting that hasn't been shot down. Also most people here are backers who are already getting merchandise like that through their pledge. I doubt I would be the only one willing to spend money on merchandise that costs more than $5 to produce.

Hmmmmm~ Maybe they act differently depending on Miriam's current status? (IE switching tactics to defense when Miriam's HP gets low/Miriam becomes endangered) I hope they feel versatile, with a lot of functions and personality. The DS game's familiars felt more like an afterthought. They felt more like abilities than little demon friends I agree completely. Familiars have never really been that great. The DS and Gameboy Vanias were even worse because you usually had to give up a more useful slot. I'm glad Bloodstained is more like CoD and SoTN where familiars get their own section in the menu.
