I doubt there'll be only one ending. I'm expecting the standard three. One of them will be the Bad Ending (possibly about Miriam succumbing to her curse), another will be the "Normal" Ending (likely the bittersweet one), and then finally the Good Ending (in which Miriam survives). Heck, there could be more. And we still don't know if the 2nd & 3rd playable characters will be more than extra content; if they could possibly have their own Endings (and story involvement in general). Yeah, we know Zangetsu is involved in the story, but we don't know if we'll see story content when finally playing as him. I think there will be three endings as well. I think there will be a bad ending if you have too many shards, in which case Miriam is overwhelmed and becomes like Gebel while the normal ending will be "okay" but perhaps leave some questions unanswered. I would like it if the best ending required a bit of work similar to Aria of Sorrow whereby you would unlock an extra area with one final boss and a true ending.
SIDE NOTE: Am I the only one who has found the development of this game to be proceeding relatively quickly until the last month or so? It seems like the final home stretch is taking an eternity .

If Alfred doesn't come as an initially packaged playable.. then an Alfred DLC dammit. Otherwise, cosmetic packs would be fun. I'm hoping a DLC side-story with new enemies, weapons, bosses, shards, etc. would come down the pipe eventually. That would be neat. I could see you doing an Alfred only run in Curse of the Moon somehow. Mind you, frostcalibur is hands-down the best sub-weapon with his burning sphere move being a close second.

According to Gamefaqs, the PS4 code would be square, triangle and R1 while selecting the boss rush option. You'll know it worked if the selection sound is different.

Hold N, T and C while selecting Boss Rush (you could hold I as well if you want it on nightmare mode). Have fun!

I'm very happy with this update, but after taking a quick glance at the Kickstarter page, many, many people are only now requesting a platform change. Why on earth do so many people wait until the 11th hour? It doesn't seem reasonable to expect 505 and Fangamer to make last minute second requests so late into production. Oh well, I'm personally looking forward to my GOG and physical copies.

I mentioned to my boss Bloodstained was due out soon and that once I knew the exact release date I would tell him and that is a day I'm taking off from work. Not opening my email, turning my phone off, etc. Completely disconnecting from the world and spending a solid 12+ hours with the game alone. It's been one hell of a 4 years waiting for this. The time is nigh, have at it! At my workplace we're allowed to leave early for "unspecified reasons" once per season. I fully intend to invoke that right .

Nakoruru forever! She's been my favorite female fighting character since the Neo Geo days (yes, I'm showing my age ). I remember her in Capcom vs SNK where her super move was especially unique in that she would heal a large portion of her health rather than have the usual offensive special attack common to every other fighter ever made. It suited her personality to a tee. I also liked her having animal companions which was very original for its time.

Dont think I will change sets much. Need to experiment. Ofc I will use the most powerful stuff, all the time.. So 1 slot is what I need. While I applaud including the option, I will probably ignore this feature for the most part. I also tend to use the most powerful equipment and only change when something that is clearly an improvement is found. Barring very unusual exceptions such as using the beryl circlet against Galamoth (sorry Galamoth !) I tend to stick with one set of gear.

Time 4 Tea Search for "cracks" in the wall of this very website. They appear occasionally. Well I feel stupid - I've seen these cracks countless times and thought they were just a "nice touch" to add to the atmosphere of this site. Thank you for explaining this to me!

It's an interesting thing indeed. I love casually looking into statistics and those numbers are actually a bit higher than what I've seen across my dozens of PS4 games. Games that have a trophy granted within minutes of starting the game tend to have low 90s for the player base. Games with a strong story tend to have a sudden drop in achievement rate once the intro bit is done and first impressions are out of the way. I've, also, only typically seen about 1/4 of players who own a game, beat it. Better still, only about 1% of the players get all the trophies. For some reason I always found game stats interesting be it sales figures, console preferences by country, player demographics, etc.
roguedragon05 - I have that problem with my GOG account; too many games but too few minutes to play them. I don't doubt they're good, it's simply a matter of time constraints. By the time I do get around to discovering my "new" great game, it may well be already two to three years old. Hertzila - It never occurred to me that people might have it on multiple systems. That would certainly affect the player base results. You're probably similar to many of those mentioned in the statistic; they enjoyed it somewhat, but it just wasn't their cup of tea. I'll admit I was the same initially; I played the first stage when the game was first released and thought it was alright but only really delved into it over the Christmas break.

Normally I'm indifferent to achievements with the exception of a handful of games I truly enjoy and Curse of the Moon belongs to this special, prestigious group. I finally completed the last achievement this morning and was looking at the "global achievement stats" section of Steam. A few stats really took me by surprise:
*Only 77.8% of COTM owners on Steam have completed the first level. That means nearly one out of four players have likely not started or perhaps even installed the game.
*Barely half the users (50.5%) have made it through the midway point (level 4).
*Only 1 in 3 people has seen an ending of any kind (33.7%).
*And last but not least, a mere 4.4% at most have all achievements.
I find these stats puzzling since Curse of the Moon is a great pick-up-and-play game that can be played in short, quick intervals. The game itself isn't long at all and has the simplicity of the NES era while benefiting from modern advancements.
Sorry if this post (and by extension, thread) seems rambling, but it struck me as odd that so many players who own the game have barely played it.

Pure Miriam - I agree that having more of the same shard seems to make no difference and is likely a bug. Otherwise, what would be the point of collecting multiple shards, aside from selling them. In one of the updates, they had mentioned that Miriam could "overload" if she had too many shards but I hope that there are some positive benefits to carrying many shards (increased projectile size/damage/etc) to give the game a bit of a risk/reward strategy.
