So I read online somewhere(I don't remember where) but it said that the game will release in Q2 2018. I think they either meant the demo will or maybe the demo will give us a release date that dates being in Q2 2018. If anyone can find something to back that up that would be nice, I will be looking as well. I'm one of the mods can disprove this but I figured I should put it up here anyway.
Notice thought I should put it out there to make it easier. This rumor was wrong and disproved.

I think that Vepar's new darker look is better and I love the animations for cooking and what not. I think the animation adds charm to the game and makes Miriam seem more human which could add to the effect of the story.

@ikai Couldn't say I've looked over the website and nothing says what's in it, but I would assume it would have a map in it(but you might want to see what others say)

I backed the $100 tier I would like to do a higher tier(125$ or 175$) so I can get a digital version for my switch but at the moment I'm getting a physical copy for pc on gog. I can't get a higher tier because I'm dead broke I just built my gaming pc so I don't have any money.

SO I plan on backing this for PC because I am building myself one, one that is going to be excessively overpowered, and I don't know what version I want but I'm leaning towards PC. I also am considering the switch version because of portability. So I was wondering two things, 1 what version do you think I should get, and 2 if I get one version and get the other will I be able to get the backer content on that. I'd get the switch just because of the portability. If you want both just drop another $28 and get it for both. You'll only get the backer content if you pay $60 so if you want both with backer content you're gonna have to either get the alchemists treasure for $125 that also comes with goodies or pay $60 twice. I'd just pay the extra $5 for the stuff (plus shipping) Yeah I might go for the $125 version, I considered $150 for the artbook but I'm not sure. Thing is I don't know if the game will even be good, while I hope it will be I don't know personally I think that the tiers are a bit overpriced. I recently got the Axiom Verge Megaverse Edition, a more metroid style metroidvania on my Switch for $40. That came with A double-sided poster(one side being art the other being the game's map) a documentary disc, all the games music, and the artbook. That would be the $150 dollar tier for Bloodstained.

So I'm getting the 60$ PC version(possibly the 100$ one) and I read somewhere that the physical copy has both a DRM free version on disc and a steam/gog key I don't know if this is true but I hope it is. If you know the answer please comment so I can see it.

I don't want anyone saying, they'll all be great, I know they will but what do you think will be better. okay then. I really hope this doesn't turn out to be a "PC master race/console war" thread. Because if it isn't yet, that's about the only direction I can see it going. For now we'll see how it goes. Hopefully not I'm just on the fence about if I want to go out of my way and also buy a switch version so I figured this may help me see if it would be worth it.

Since the game is designed on PC, the source code is within PC. That means the code is less distrupted. If you mean the feel and graphics? It should pan out smoothly, so don't worry - every version will be good. Portable systems included. Busterific yeah, Vita is a console too (and Nintendo DS for the prequel). Enkeria Yeah I know that they'll all be good I'm meaning along the lines of with each systems advantages.

I maybe add a more definitive sound effect to them, something different for each weapon. Perhaps you could also use procedural generation to have them die in multiple ways or just overall adding more death animations to each enemy.

10/02/1997 was Castlevania: Symphony of the Night's release in North America.
I think it is more than a mere coincidence that we saw Mana's art revealed yesterday on this fateful day and anniversary, a piece given which evokes a familiar feel and aesthetic while being a completely new and beautiful style. A celebration, but a clear moving forward - and that is what we are all about as a whole, here. That is the essence of Bloodstained - fans, creators, and fans who become creators like Mana herself pushing their efforts, time and support forward for what they love and the game they believe in.
A cornerstone for that belief being built, SotN will always be revered for what it was, what it is and what it means to us. I would invite everyone here to share their thoughts and stories about the game, how they came upon it, what they felt while playing it, and any other impactful memories you have of the experience. What of that do you already see reflected in Bloodstained, and what do you hope to see?
Also yesterday, our forum hit over 2000 registered members. We are celebrating this as well!
Originally, I was thinking I would pick one respondent out and send them something of Symphony, but honoring the game, us, and Iga-san more I think, I will instead give that person a $60 tier of their choice or an equivalent amount of Fangamer/Sanshee items (shirts, buttons, stickers) of their choosing. This will be open for a week, until 10/10.
Lastly, don't forget to vote in the poll for Mana's artwork here!: bloodstainedfanforums.com/thread/2647/operation-art-legacy
edit: It has been pointed out that international shipping costs can run very high. I'm aware of that, but it doesn't necessarily exclude international members from receiving a prize. Depending on what the winner wants, we could still do $60 digital, two $28 digitals, or the combined cost of Fangamer/Sanshee merch + shipping that rounds close to $60. Depending on the winner/situation, I might be willing to work something out, too. Don't worry about it for now! I would love a copy since I haven't been able to buy one yet.

You may opt out of the game if you wish (that's under Profile-Edit Profile-Settings). Your role:Demon Possessed- Once per hour you may summon two demons that will attempt to possess your chosen victim. There is a 90% chance it will work. There is a 10% chance that the victim will fall into a coma and enter into an unseen battle against the demon for control of their body. Alchemist- Once per hour you may attempt to perform a ritual that will banish a demon from someone possessed. There is a 75% chance it will work, however there is a 15% chance they could fall into a coma and battle for control on their own. Demon Hunter- Once every 40 minutes you may attack a demon. There is a 70% chance you will defeat your target and render them unconscious. Coma- Depending on the outcomes listed above you might find yourself unable to take action as you enter a dreamlike world and do battle with a demon for control of your body. There is a 80% chance you will win. You get one chance a day to try and win, but you must actively log in and try. If you do wake up and aren't possessed you will not have a class! I wish that wasn't the case and that's honestly the weakest aspect of this game. Just post here or PM me and I will give you the role you ask for (Hunter or Alchemist.) This is just for fun to add a little ongoing game to our forum. There are no prizes. If the battle becomes hopeless for one side to win, I will reset everything.Getting assigned a role:I must manually add EVERYONE who wants to be a Demon Hunter or Alchemist to those roles. Imagine if someone is new and they haven't made a post yet. They would be able to attack from the shadows and not fear retaliation. New people who want to play must post. I will watch the recent posts often and add them as a Demon Hunter. When the game begins, I will make one person Demon Possessed who is online and known to be online often. Everyone else will become a Demon Hunter who has posted within the last 5 days. All moderators will become Alchemists, along with a few people who have requested that role. Have you been left out? Well, chances are you could get possessed because demons can possess you even without you having a role. You can request a role in this thread, though. Remember, you have to have posted within the last 5 days to qualify for an assigned role. Honestly, I'm still trying to balance everything. My goal is to not have to reset the game often because it takes a bit of work. So a long battle would be nice. I'm fine with whatever role you give me but being the Demon would be fun.

I don't play playstation or xbox so I never got to play SotN and while it doesn't give back to the devs, I don't care since IGA left and the rest of the team probably wouldn't get anything back because Konami is Konami, so yeah emulators!

I don't think there will be. Maybe if a dev sees this, but I don't think you need it. Symphony of the night was on older smaller tv screens when it came out but since we have bigger tv's/monitors it is a bit zoomed out, and anyways this means we can have bigger areas with more artwork as well as bigger more complicated boss battles.

The PC crowd isn't just feminists. In fact a large majority of them don't care about feminists or they are against the feminists(not in a way meaning they dislike women, they just don't like people like Anita Sarkisian,) the reason you probably think that is because as pc gamers they have more freedom and they have a bigger voice then people on a console would.
He was meaning PC as in politically correct.
Oh, oops. I haven't ever seen it used that way I thought they were talking about pc gamers not politically correct.

Pc for modding. Also, I'm new to the forum, and I asked this question around fourty+ minutes ago do posts go through a submission process? Hi bluegman, and yeah there's an approval system, but only for someone's first post. It's a spambot prevention tool we've been using. I just now approved yours. Ok, thank you. Probably better that way nobody wants a forum full of spam bots.

"A large reason for choosing a female lead was the Kickstarter. When we thought about collecting funds from Kickstarter, and thought about the modern social movement in America, having a female lead felt right, but also calculated." This is exactly why I don't really like Miriam. She was only made as a result of the PC/feminist movement in the West. I'm pretty sure even IGA himself said he planned for a male MC before the Kickstarter. I just don't like it when developers submit to the PC crowd.
