hyugakojiro the regular edition is definitely an option. These days I rarely want to have a physical edition because I'm so used to digital and its convenience, but I've been trying to gather a complete Castlevania collection for years (original games, special editions, merch etc.) and Bloodstained is in a way part of that series so I'd like to own CotM physically one way or the other. Preferably the collector because that's kinda my whole point for getting it, but I'll adapt to what I can purchase. roguedragon05 yeah, I'll try to do so. Luckily those batch will go live at a rather comfortable time for me here in Italy so I'll try to secure a copy.

The collector is pretty sweet. I am kinda unfamiliar with Limited Run though, as they do very interesting stuff but I assumed that shipping to Europe would always be quite pricey so I never actually bought anything.
I hope they'll not be sold out in an instant. I'd like to add it to my Castlevania collection.

Wow, found one place in the forum where being a Hollow Knight fan isn't some kind of treacherous offense to Igarashi's games or something. Very hyped for Silksong. I really loved HK up to the Grimm Troupe, the Godmaster update I kinda dislike with its focus on boss gauntlets and artificial super hard versions of past bosses, but otherwise that was amazing and this trailer is looking spectacular. LeoLeWolferoux did you also get the final Godmaster ending? If so, hats off to you, that's a titanic feat. @autumn I personally expect more "humanoid" (well not really humanoid but you get it, as big as the player or something like that) bosses but also some big bosses that have gimmicks around Hornet's agility. Or not-so-agile bosses with vicious AoE attacks so that the challenge would more be about dodging with the new abilities than hitting.

One of my favorite games ever basically. All the good of Souls + faster, visceral combat + Victorian setting + Lovecraft atmosphere done right.
It's a masterpiece, really. Trick weapons were so good that I couldn't change my weapon of choice for the entire playthrough. I ended up doing 5 playthroughs, each with a different weapon. Be it swiftly dicing enemies with the Blades of Mercy or smashing Maria into the dust with the Kirkhammer, it was never less than incredible. I love BB so much.

akuma Mana Ikeda, che tra l'altro fa parte dello staff del progetto dall'inizio... ma con tutt'altro ruolo. Comunque secondo me questa community sta abbastanza peggiorando. Penso che ridurrò la mia frequentazione al minimo indispensabile finché non esce il gioco.

Aztec Hollow Knight doesn't really work in "rooms" but more in "areas". It's quite the big map indeed.

I don't see it happening, but (on a purely hypothetical standpoint) I wouldn't support ArtPlay or Iga-san ever again in that case. Platforms cancellation are one thing, the debacle on the Mac/Linux question is another thing (one that I'm still and will probably forever be disappointed about) but this would really be a big, massive drop that spilled the glass and shattered it completely.
But I don't think it's a problem at all nor would I remotely suspect such a thing. I may be disappointed at some things this project did lately to the point that my enthusiasm is not that big anymore, but I still have a good opinion of the team overall and the people behind Bloodstained.

Il trailer è davvero carino! Non so QUANTO potrà essere bello il gioco finale e a questo punto accetto che semplicemente lo stile artistico non mi piace, ma sembra che ci sarà un gioco bello succoso sotto.

Even if I'm not directly affected by the Mac/Linux decision, saying that complaining is a waste of time is, in my opinion, rather disheartening, especially for a Kickstarter campaign. The people affected are backers and fans just like all of us that believed in the project and decided to put their own money in it, and now after all the waiting they're told by the dev/publisher that they won't receive the game on the platform they chose, they won't receive their money back (I think this is the biggest problem) and, like it wasn't enough, they're told by other backers (not all of them) to "get over it" and stop complaining. Honestly they have all the rights to complain, and I'm sure that those people saying to "get over it" and to "stop wasting time", if they were affected by a similar decision, they would complain in the same manner. I didn't say that the act of complaining in itself is a waste of time. I said it's a waste of time [and effort] to "have fun" trying in vain to convince people who have already determined that they're getting the game. It's pretty obvious that the majority of people complaining are backers & fans like us, but it's getting increasingly difficult to feel sympathy for those who seem to be planning to do worse than just simply complain; a couple of the same people on this thread have already threatened to go on a smear-campaign for this entire project just because they didn't get the specific port/version they wanted. Overall, those on this path are overestimating their impact. I know I wouldn't automatically call this project a "dumpster fire", or threaten to take the developers to court, if one of the specific versions I backed for in the past (Wii U) was dropped. Because an alternative was offered (Switch) without extra cost, I opted for that instead. Similarly, Wine has been suggested as an alternative to play the Windows version. Wine is very much not a "real" alternative to a cancelled OS support, at least not nearly in the way that Switch is an alternative to the Wii U.

absorbnix as I said more than once before I'm very disappointed in the handling of this whole matter by the team, especially concerning the lack of refunds. But attitudes such as yours are beyond irritating. I won't shrug off legitimate disappointment especially from the ones involved, but this is ridiculous. If they don't give a response at all, they're at fault. If they do give a response, then you twist every word into the complete opposite because you think they are obviously scammers always lying through their teeth. Just stop. It's nauseating. This is the last thing I'm going to say on the matter.

I generally agree with @huberoz.
Personally speaking I was not 100% happy with the latest demo as I felt that it was adequate but the money from funds raised by the campaign PLUS publisher investment couldn't result in something "just adequate" in my mind. From an aesthetic point of view first, sure, but not even the gameplay fully satisfied me. Plus (of course that's wholly a personal thing) I tend to worsen my negative opinion on something the more I think about it.
It certainly didn't help that the subsequent updates were lukewarm at best with some very bad news in between. The communication also I felt getting worse.
As a result I don't check on the community as often as before. I'm mostly trying not to think about the game waiting for the release but it's hard for me to be that excited anymore. Even if it saddens me immensely because of various reasons I talked about in some topics.

Rewards may be seen as more "safe" (at least in my mind they are) because producing them shouldn't be as costly as developing on a platform with unspecified "technical problems". I believed (but I'm not 100% sure because I only kickstarted two video games in my life neither of which has come out yet) the funding for the rewards is kept separated at the end of the campaign itself.
It wouldn't hurt to have some official confirmation on this, though. Especially because I personally put a lot of money into my tier so yeah, I wouldn't like any surprises.

While I appreciate the swift response post holidays, personally speaking I am still disappointed in the handling of the refunds.
I get why they technically can't do refunds and I also get that they have no obligations to use non-backer funds to do so and that this is 100% okay from a Kickstarter's terms point of view. I'm not even personally touched by this as I only have Windows.
Still, offering refunds for those whose platforms got cancelled earlier and not to the Linux/Mac users feels wrong. So one can potentially be stuck with a version of the game they can't play because their platform of choice got axed later? Again yes, they can do that, I understand. Backers with no other platforms than those are few, sure. Nothing stops them from buying a new platform (not only for this game hopefully), yeah, that could happen.
But it's still a disappointment for me personally, coming from a team who up to some time ago handled the campaign and development very well even through some hardships. Especially a disappointment considering how important is for me the person that put his reputation on the line to pursue this project in the first place (I obviously know that Igarashi isn't directly responsible for this kind of decisions, but it's still him who represents the Bloodstained project). This whole matter leaves a sour taste in my mouth that'll be hard to neutralize.

Speriamo bene.

"So, they are only obligated to return funds if these funds still exist."
Probably can be interpreted that way, but I hope they realize that excluding arbitrarily SOME backers by a refund in the case of a cancellation is a d*ck move no matter how "legal" it may be. I repeat, why Vita backers were refunded if they wished so and Linux/MAC users can't be refunded apparently? I doubt there are millions of backers in that situation anyway, and moreover we're still talking about 5.5+ millions funds PLUS the publisher's money, it couldn't be THAT difficult to refund a bunch of people. With KS, reputation is on the line and such a move can damage reputation badly.
(leaving aside the whole debate on the usage of said funds, I still find it difficult to wrap my head around the fact that some IGAvanias, even those with fewer recycle of assets, went out on a much more constrained time and budget and Bloodstained didn't even while having a much bigger budget and forsaking high quality 2D art, that's unfruitful and unnecessary)

Not offering refunds is unquestionably a way to screw things up. It doesn't matter how small the quantity of MAC/Linux users who haven't got any other platform is, if they can't play the game because of such a cancellation they should get their money back at least. This is not a case of "I don't like how the game is, so I want a refund", it's a more serious matter, especially because they did offer refund for the cancelled Vita version, why not this time? It's still "a platform" of sorts so why do just those (again, no matter how few) people have to be screwed with a version of the game they can't play?

Damn, these last few months didn't bear encouraging news at all, for the most part. I don't really know why, but the whole situation has taken a not-so-nice turn; now I must say that yeah, I understand the negativity that people (I hope not too many) are experiencing. I mean, what's next? Other cancellations? :/ Extra modes being axed (actually I'd kinda be happy about that ) It is what it is and I at least hope the team is able to work well, with a good pace, on the project. I'm kinda sad I feel almost indifferent to the game nowadays, which in a way is even worse than me hating it. But yeah, I'll just read some updates and play it when it's out I guess. The relative disinterest has ironically made waiting much easier, even through delays. But I'm not sure how to feel about that. P.S.: the Albedo-style fan art for Dominique is sweet.

Clarifications are much appreciated. I do think that in this delicate phase updates should be as exhaustive and clear as possible. Perhaps there are backers who aren't in the forums/aren't that active on the Internet who may share my concerns and they would hardly get a chance to see the staff's clarifications, so even the "boring" stuff should be pretty exhaustive to preemptively explain some concerns, if that's possible.
At least that's my sentiment.
