Posted this on my blog, figured I'd share my thoughts here too The thing I like about this update is how much better everything looks. I know folks complained about the village, but it looks like 10 times better now! And even the stages we liked from the demo, like the ship, look so much better too. IGA asked some really thoughtful questions to the DICO staff member as well, so that was a plus Definitely glad to see things shaping up so nicely, this is just the boost Bloodstained needed ;D Now on to E#...glory awaits!

I donated to the kickstarter back in the day enough to get the game on a platform of my choice. I chose the 3DS, but I regret it and would rather get it on PC. Is there a way to change my choice? Hmm, did we offer the 3ds as a port? I don't remember In any case, did you receive an email/survey from Fangamer at any time? You might still be able to use your link to change your survey answers (namely which system you got the game for). You could also ask Fangamer Steve or the Fangamer staff here

I'll probably show up as Daniel Whalen or something like that in the credits of Bloodstained. I don't know exactly what I answered in the survey anymore since I lost access to it because I didn't have an actual Fangamer account when I placed the order, and eventually the cookie that let me alter my answers expired I guess. No idea how to hunt down my order and change my answers even if I wanted to. I backed at the $175 tier, Vita physical and Steam digital (giving my Steam code to my brother). My favorite Castlevania game is Symphony of the Night like many others, followed closely by Aria of Sorrow. I'm not such an old fan like a good chunk of the fanbase seems to be (I only really became a fan when I played SotN for the first time in 2012), but I am certainly passionate. Welcome to the forums, friend! If you need to change your answers or make sure of what you ordered, we have fangamer staff on this forum, I could give 'em a ring if you want

I gotta ask, when is E3? Friday, right? So will Bloodstained be there all Friday, or will there be a specific time (PST, I assume) it'll get showed off? June 13-15, 2017 - Time is represented in PDT I think. Day depends on which country you are in. www.e3expo.com/show-info/2897/show-hours/w00t, thanks

Phew, it's certainly a relief that the press seems to like the demo, though...only 15 minutes long? Was that just how long it took for the guy to get to the boss, as in he didn't explore or find secrets and stuff?

Just pledged 60 dollars + 6 shipping for the printed artbook. I don't have the money for much more, and the higher level rewards don't appeal to me as much as Bloodstained's did, but a physical copy of the artbook seems very nice That said, I do like the stretch goals...setting aside money to hire extra team members seems very sensible to me.

Interesting topic! It wouldn't surprise me if the numbers for Bloodstained were massively higher. As you say, the crafting system might lead to a lot of variety, so who knows, we may see thousands of different weapon variants

gunlord500 (don't really know how to quote you without including my post you quoted in the first place haha): didn't know about that one, but from a first look, it sure seems interesting and haunting. I'll check it out. Hehe, we have an "insert quote" button in the full reply screen, just click the little button that says "quote" and it'll do it for you

Good points Dengojin, I also made a similar one over at the CV Dungeon. But I do think it's important Bloodstained comes out in a timely fashion. Aside from the fact that we can't wait to see all the awesome stuff IGA has in store for us, we also need to respect the fact that many backers put a lot of money into the project. The longer it takes, the more stressed out a backer will be, because if they spent 500 on Bloodstained when it was first announced, that's 500 dollars they could have spent on something else--I've known folks who forewent cars or house payments to support a KS project! XD So I think we do have an obligation to ensure they get their bang for their buck on time, or at least as close as we can make it

At this link you can see the campaign for Blasphemous, a 2D side-scrolling action adventure games from The Game Kitchen, the indie studio responsible for what in my opinion is the best point and click series in a long time, as well as one of the best Lovecraft-inspired games ever made, The Last Door. I feel that this game is particularly significant for this community, because a great source of inspiration is quite obviously Castlevania. Recommended for fans of Castlevania, Berserk (especially the Inquisition Saga), Dark Souls and Bloodborne! It looks really amazing, have a look Also, for a game still in pre-production, the art and animations look INCREDIBLE. Dang, that is really cool! The spritework is amazing, though aside from Bloodborne, the aesthetic also reminds me of Gyossait.

Oh, and I have no idea why the actual twitch stream had those weird bodysuit interruptions. Seemed kind of tasteless to me. Yeah, I didn't know what was up with them either. I thought it might have been a glitch in the stream or something, was it intentional?

Jacula - In Cauda Semper Stat Venenum I like organ music, this also sounds really ominous for something from 1969, I like it. Not my favourite organ piece at all, but it's good and atmospheric. Probably the least exciting album on this thread, but to be honest, I really enjoy more relaxed or atmospheric music. Whether it invokes a feeling of horror and wickedness, or if it's just more calm and tranquil, it's generally always good to listen at night. Which is the time I enjoy most of my time, since there's less noise overall. If you like sinister organ music, you might like "Chaconne C Moll" from the Symphony of the Night saturn version

If they are recording for the Iga boss that must mean they are getting pretty far along in development. Hype! Definitely! This is a bit of a relief, it means they're paying attention to "reward" content, and if they're doing that, the base game is probably coming along swimmingly

I really ddin't know where to post this, and i thought that creating a thread just for this silly thing could be idiot, but here goes. I had a dream today (05/09/2017) about Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The area was something like this, i think, like the first concept and gameplay we saw, but with a more purple color and with fog. In my dream, the E3 DEMO was out for us to play. The main menu was changed to something with more redish / purpleish colors, with the menu options arranged to the left and a huge empty space at the right (a bit like it is now), where Miriam artwork would be (she was going to have a updated artwork and they didn't put there in time, if i'm not mistaken). Miriam's status was arranged at the bottom, alongside gold, time and such. The Demo was something foward in the castle, so, you started at a higher level (20's or something), within a closed area of the castle (everything closed with the same looking door that i don't remember how it looked). You started with some shards for all types (including familiar) but specially Trigger ones. I remember equipping a Trigger shard that Miriam attacked summoning a magical skull or something similar. It has something to do with skulls...And we also started with some equipments, with Miriam equipped with a gun at a start, that you could shoot and charge like Megaman's X Buster. The Castle area we could play was also something more redish/ purpleish in color, with a thick purple fog in the background. You could see some windows and it looked A BIT like the first concept (like the picture above) but you could barely see the background scenario due to the fog. The ground was brown carved stones at some point, and more plain at other parts. So, while i was playing, i kept going foward. Lots of plataforming and some stairs, killing a bunch of new demons that we never saw, i really don't remember how they looked and picking small crystals, new items i don't know the use for. I remember getting a Enchant Shard from a Demon, whose looks i don't remember, and the shard's effect i don't remember too, until i reached a boss. The boss i remember in quite detail. It was big, but not huge, like the size of Dullahammer. It looked like a huge spinning "disk" made of flesh, bones and skulls. It was browish with red (blood / flesh) parts, with a wheel made of bones, a pile of skulls in the center that formed a huge menacing skull. It kept spinning nonstop on it's place without moving. The boss's method of attack was shooting pink lasers that could move after being shot and breathing a wind that kept me from getting closer (i think the wind came from it's spinning velocity). So you was "locked" at the left, with the boss at the right. The only way to hit him was by shooting with the Megaman's-style gun i had equipped and throwing the Skull-like shard i had. When i beat him, all he dropped was small crystals like the ones i got from other enemies. And then the demo ended. The demo got mixed reactions, with many people praising it and also many people saying that Miriam's movements got worse for some reason. I don't remember, but i think Miriam's visuals was also a bit different (maybe that's why the meny didn't had artwork?). Then, after playing it, i came here to do my traditional analysis post at the update thread, and then i woke up. ... Talk about someone willing to play more Bloodstained, to the point of dreaming with it! I wanted to post this also because, when the Demo is out, i wanna check if ANYTHING on my dream will make any sense. Or maybe when the full game is out. Well..tha's it. Thanks for reading. That's all folks!
I'm not really good at drawing, but maybe i will draw the boss, since it is the only thing i remember clearly, and post here, if it doesn't look terrible.Haha, that's one dream I'd like to come true
