For miriam, a cat transformation would be cool. A simple house cat would be cute as hell. She could be brightly colored like the wolf was. Maybe purple and/or blue. Abilities like wall climbing or wall jumping could have more potential for use than what the wolf had. Running and an attack abilitity would still be welcome. A more powerful cat in the feline family could also be used. Anything from a lynx to a lion, but give me an adorable tabby or calico any day. There just aren't enough cats in games. I like the idea of a changing into a smaller cat that could potentially fit into places that you normally would not be able to. For whatever reason the thought of a calico cat that shared some of Miriam's crystal designs popped into my head when thinking on this.

I have not yet had a Bloodstained related dream that I remember, although this one sound pretty good. It is in fact quite unusual for me to remember my dreams at all.
I did have a rather vivid dream at one time that a group of vampires, kind of like the ones from the movie The Lost Boys, were attempting to run me down in downtown Seattle with an old convertible Cadillac. They ended up crashing into a traffic light pole and then chasing me into the sewer. The sewer was quite large and things got kind of fuzzy and really weird from that point until I woke up.

Makes me wonder if people try playing the game with the music off. I've done that sometimes with games, and it can change the experience. I've found a few games out there that I prefer to play without the music off. Based on what I've heard of the soundtrack for Bloodstained that's not going to be the case for this game. I would think that in this day and age some basic in-game volume controls would be a given. I don't remember seeing any lately that don't have this show up in the options somewhere.

I doubt a demo will be provided with any more support than was provided last time until we get to the Beta release. I'd think whether they decide to provide the demo to backers will be somewhat related to how smoothly that went for them last time. I'd think that they'd want to based on the feedback that they got from backers trying it out, but I'm not going to hold my breath on it.

It would be interesting to see one or two of the pages to see how they organize them. I'm guessing there's a lot of empty space on them rather than being written out like a novel. I'd also think that they would contain notes on context as to where the lines appear in the game as well as hints for the voice actors so that they know what emotion the character is supposed to be feeling to better emphasize lines without as much verbal direction and re-takes.

Did you find confirmation somewhere that Bloodstained will run on a smart watches? If that's the case I'm totally going to get an apple watch if it will run on it.

But actually I didn't even realize you could buy 90" televisions lol. That would probably be taller than my ceiling is :x I thought 90" was the diagonal measurement of the TV which would make the actual size roughly 6 1/2 feet wide by 4 feet tall for a widescreen which is still a huge TV. I've got a 22" Samsung monitor on my desktop which I'll likely be using when playing on my PC. I've got something around 65" HD in the living room attached to the XBone which I'll be using there. Depending on how I feel when I get the PC copy I may opt to temporarily attach a PC to either that or the projector in my bedroom which is of comparable size to the main TV as I've still got my previous desktop hanging around here although haven't had any good motivation to hook it up since transitioning to my current PC.

Why Not GOG copy? So you could play offline, and without issues of Steam not working / password loss / other errors? I have 1 steam and 1 gog, I might change that to something else. Dunno yet. Do not own any of the consoles. I thought you had to have a Steam copy to get access to the Beta. That was the driving factor in me having Steam as the download version.

I think they're going to delay the update until the 1st, come up with 3 really, really odd characters as a joke, and then a bunch of people are going to want them included in the game anyway even though the next day they posted what the real 3 characters they intend to showcase are.

SotN was first released when I was 4 years old. ...Should I feel old? You should not feel old. If you were 4 when SotN was released than I am older than you, and I am certainly by no means "old".

This sounds like a lot of fun, but sadly my schedule wouldn't allow something weekly like this. The time zone would likely cause issues even if the meetings ended up being less frequent.

Yah, but we have also had the Switch debacle and Fangamer getting stuck in a foreign land due to snow. The last update was on the 10th, and updates in the past have been completely unpredictable. I wish it would come out today. I've been alone while my family is on vacation, and doing a podcast right now would fit well in my schedule. Of course, that would be taking time away from the Castlevania Ravenloft adventure I'm still piecing together. Ravenloft is a good blast from the past that fits in well with the Castlevania theme. It would be interesting to see the campaign you're putting together. Are you sticking with the 2nd edition rules or planning on tweaking things to work with a newer version of D&D?

I seem to remember this being in some of the demos posted to YouTube which did in fact follow other Castlevania games as far as the automatic mapping went.
I'm guessing there will be a good chance you'll be able to purchase a partial map at some point in the game. The map(s) will likely contain mostly areas that you are required to go to, but not secret areas. If I remember correctly the partial maps sold in portrait of ruin basically showed the way you needed to go to progress the game more than anything. I would think something similar would be done for Bloodstained.

I like the idea of the horn headpiece. A card game based on the bestiary as mentioned by estebant would be cool. Could probably include character and equipment cards and have it play with a few people. A whip would be interesting, but if they could get Man At Arms from YouTube to make the stained glass sword that would be all kinds of awesome.

That would be cool, but I could see several edge cases where the logic may get a little more fuzzy and need additional tweaking. They'd probably also have to take into consideration weapon reach were a long range weapon would hit the wall when kicking would not as well as what to do if an enemy is between the player and the wall and you're hitting both the enemy and the wall. In some of these instances they may end up finding a secret in the wall while not intentionally looking for one which I've done on occasion.

The idea of her kicking the wall rather than using a sword, whip, or gun would make sense to me to avoid dulling the blade, etc. On the other hand if I had a big hammer of some sort I'd likely use that rather than kicking a wall to open it up. I'm wondering if that can't be kicking in place of specific weapon types rather than always kicking.

It'll be interesting to hear if/where 4k will be supported. The PC versions would also have the potential to go up to 4k if they set up the image assets to support that level of detail.
