I'm not too sure about specific nodes for using this ability on, (other than ledges, perhaps), but I'd love to see a certain Shard that I suggested here as a required method of progression. Check out my " Ossicle Spine" idea. (Maybe it could just be called "Ossicle Arm"... ) With that, Miriam won't necessarily need a Whip to latch onto certain points. Her abilities, as I understand it, are going to be mostly Shard-based after all.

My first puzzle I ever remembered about platforming were Metroid, and the freeze cannon on some enemies, jumping on them with timed effort to reach higher ground and to progress through new areas. Hidden walls that are more than just a piece of potion are also most welcome. I would like some hidden rooms or corridors to be optional and with these also filled with different puzzles of any kind, easy enough to get pass but somewhat timeconsuming. If there is a mirror-room there could also be some type of "Simon Says" game, platform puzzle or some kind. And of course, familiars.. Let them do some of the things that would be harder to do (but viable) without them! Like reaching a button or chains higher up, during a boss-fight or not

When I imagine a double jump, I actually see it less as something propelling Miriam up, and more as something keeping her from falling down. That is to say that, either automatically on jumping or with the use of an appropriate shard, you would form a platform of "stained glass" beneath your feet, which shatters and disintegrates as you kick off of it to launch yourself higher.
