While on facebook I decided to post a semi-noncomiital hopeful post on the Indivisible Strikeforce page. What I wasn't expecting were some of these quotes from Peter Bartlow(Head of Lab Zero) that are making me think. My original post is as follows:
I hope we at least nab that (next to)-Full Voice Acting goal. I don't see us nabbing that New Game Plus/Super Hard Dungeon without outside help.
Peter wrote these three things as a response:
I think we're close enough that I'm starting to actively plan for it.
We're working on some awesome add-on merch, and I'm pretty confident that we'll easily hit the goal once those are added!
Yeah, unfortunately I think it's mostly impossible to create a sense of urgency around a completed campaign.
I'm honestly surprised this has done this well after we closed the campaign.
...I do wonder if there's a way we can get people interested in upgrading? Maybe some kind of addition to the LE physical release?
Was thinking of something like making pencil boards from the anime opening, but we can't hype those until... well, probably until the last minute.
The thing that keeps sticking out to me is that Bloodstained sold MORE physical copies than it did digital, and that's not the case with us. And the easiest / most likely way to get people to upgrade en masse is going from the digital to physical tier.
Clearly, they're trying to think of ways to make the goals. I also found it interesting that they were analyzing Bloodstained and how more people have physical than digital on our end. How could they make the physical edition more enticing? Well, we have nice box art/sleeves and other doodads.

Well, my exhaustive analytics show that perhaps they should
A big part of this is that technically, Bloodstained stems from an established classic franchise that the physical/retro generation would love. Indivisible is a bit more new overall, it's still somewhat derivative, but wouldn't (yet) carry the collector vibe. One thing though that they could do to take from Bloodstained's example is something as simple as special art exclusives to certain backer packaging options... i.e. instead of just the $250 print, a special slipcase, box, tin, etc. They don't have a special artist to grab for this like Ayami Kojima, but...maybe they could use kind of a Skullgirls flavor to it, something of a mashup? Or somehow get Kou/Yô Yoshiari for it lol...
edit: I forgot they already announced slipcase/tin options in November lol. Perhaps the inclusion of something special on them like above, though? Hm.
Sounds great! I'm getting the same feeling I get when I hear Grant Kirkhope or Michiru Yamane's music where I go "yep, that's the same composer," and it doesn't really happen that often. Someone could tell me that piece of music was originally something Hiroki Kikuta wrote for Secret of Mana and I'd believe them.
Lestaroth: Finally back here. Time to update on about everything!

purifyweirdsoul: Goob's thread was from the news before that they were recording period about two weeks ago. It does make sense to merge them though, same topic basically. edit: moved

castledan: Has anyone made a topic about transformations?

castledan: I think that'd be cool. Like a more detailed function of it. Give us many different abilities to do with the transformation or imagine your transformation evolving as you level up.

purifyweirdsoul: lol yeah I like almost all of these games a lot. Glad you enjoyed the talk. Anybody else out there, be sure to check out the new BCB if you have the time (it's long! and that's pretty much my fault entirely!)

purifyweirdsoul: Huh, the forum database seems messed up or something. It says I'm the only member that's been on in 24 hours.
