So I found out during my first playthrough that it's rather easy to slidekick under the drawbridge just after hitting the lever to bring it down. Therefore the drawbridge is down and prevents your passage back up, so you have to go underground and take the long way around.
This made me wonder— What if you did that without breaking the floor that lets you into the other side of the tunnel? Is it a soft lock? Are you trapped?
I started a new game to test, and nope! If you end up in this situation, you can jump out the other side, and the floor will be magically broken for you already when you jump out. The roof and second floor however remain in tact, despite that normally being what creates the hole...
A slight logic bug there, but that's quite a bit better than a soft lock eh?

That's interesting. The ground being magically broken is a oversight, they simply didn't thought of that, i'm sure.
A simple solution for this could be fixing the ground being "magically broken" and putting a lever at the first plataform below the bridge. So, if you lock yourself down you can bring the bridge up again. Another solution could be by making the bridge timed. So if you put it down, it slowly goes back up, so you could just wait for it go go back up.

or make the ground breakable from below, like walls with hidden items instead of just vanishing.

Another solution would be to pause control of Miriam while the Bridge is moving.

Huh. I went below before lowering the drawbridge and when I came up the other side, the floor was busted. But I did think there was a passage there in the village beforehand, and it wouldn't let me get below as best I could tell. Maybe I didn't do it correctly. I thought maybe the creators were forcing me to open it from below, but that seemed strange.

I didn't know I wasn't supposed to do that. Probably as a result, the map won't show the broken floor as open. If they make the floor breakable from below, hopefully it'll remedy that part as well.

i actually couldnt break the floor in the village but ive been looking for them using sliding, does slide hitbox just not get low enough to trigger breakable floors?
also if the roof collapsing is what creates the hole then the 2nd floor is bugged in that it doesnt always break, the roof fell on it and didnt break it

Yeah, I noticed this on a second run through. On the first run through I collapsed through the roof and both floors to get into the hole. On the second run through, the roof collapsed but the second floor didn't. :/
