ghaleon: If anything my gripe isn't about them being in the game, but rather the huge selection of equipment in the game that is just pure crap. I wish there were mroe actual selection of items to use instead of... like.. equipment version of shovelware. Apr 21, 2018 23:35:46 GMT -6

paulwawg: i can kind of agree with you there ghaleon. i have tried beating final boss with quite a few different weapons and it did get pretty terrible. (especially with the basilard..... that made that fight take forever and im still not sure if i regret doing it) Apr 22, 2018 2:05:16 GMT -6

Pure Miriam: This is one of the hardest things for games like this. You need to make each weapon type actually useful, aside from making some enemies weak to some stuff to "force" the player to use them. It's easy when you don't have a lot of types. Apr 22, 2018 9:07:07 GMT -6

Pure Miriam: Like, Axe = Strong but slow. Knive = weak but super fast. Sword = balanced. But when you have types that can overlap on usefulness (what is the difference between a oversized Axe and a great sword on Bloodstained?) things starts to get harder. Apr 22, 2018 9:08:01 GMT -6

Pure Miriam: The Bloodstained weapon types are, if i'm not mistaken: Shoes (kick), Single Handed Swords, Maces, Knives, Rapiers, Great Swords, Axes, Katanas, Spears, Whips and Guns. Make each of those types different AND useful must have been quite a challenge.

ghaleon: regarding the hard to balance part. Yes its hard to balance it perfectly. but I'm not asking for perfection. Just don't have weapons that are valid for the first 5 minutes in the game hiding in chests and monster drops for the last 1/4 of the game. Apr 22, 2018 18:45:49 GMT -6
