haha, I've thought about they may be running short on "___ Man" names, but I suppose there can still be plenty. It's a bit easier for elements, but not as much for entirely new categories of things. Will be interesting to see what they come up with.

I've always found the X series to be the one with the most potential. You could, as said, make a continuation off of the new generation reploids and Axl clashing with the old guard, you could make a series about being your own reploid (character creation) and becoming either a hunter or a maverick through decisions and actions, you could even have a musou style game going back into the first revolutions up to x5.

Some artwork from the most recent update! "Brick Man" is now officially known as Block Man. Fuse ManAll other revealed Robot Master names: Torch Man, Impact Man, Tundra Man, Bounce Man, Blast Man, & Acid Man. I'm going to take a guess at the properties of the remaining six Robot Master weapons... we've already seen Block Man & Fuse Man, so no need for guessing there - I think Torch Man's weapon will be an actual continuous jet of flame (similar to Burner Man from Mega Man & Bass). - Impact Man's weapon might be similar in function to that of Charge Man's in MM5. A damage-inducing dash based on the impact of physical momentum. - Tundra Man's weapon might be capable of actually freezing the opponent. I like the idea of freezing an enemy and using them as an improvised platform. - Bounce Man's weapon could be very similar to Spring Man's "Wild Coil" in MM7. - Blast Man's weapon is most-assuredly a bomb... that explodes! - I kinda want Acid Man's weapon to be "acid rain"-themed, similar to Toad Man's weapon in MM4. "Double Gear" System (big part of MM11's plot, and a new gameplay system that we got first hints of in the previous reveal trailer) - Can "over-charge" Mega Man's buster for a shot powerful enough to destroy Block Man's golem (presumably, this "fourth-level" shot could be used to counter more powerful attacks from certain enemies). - Can be used to slow down time (so we know we're not getting any copied Robot Master Weapon like Flash Man's, Bright Man's, or Time Man's from previous games).

They're essentially X-ing the design of MM here and I like that lol.
Slide + multi-level charge buster is already most similar to X, and adding another charge level on top of that is definitely so. Older sounding voice too, for an overall more teen/serious aesthetic than the common more kid-like classic MM interpretations. I really dig it.

Block Man becoming giant actually gave me a flashback to Rainy Turtloid from X6.
I actually like the voice acting we heard. Nice that it won't be another Dr. Thomas 'Elmer Fudd' Light.
Overall, the game looks like it'll make Inafune cry like a MN9 backer on launch day for a really fun game, though I've still got a small issue or two. (MM's running animation still looks a bit weird.) Between this and RE7's commercial success, and Monster Hunter World being one of Capcom's most successful games ever, I think Capcom has firmly moved away from the 'Crapcom' shadow.
